Lovely Beachfront Location, but Not Quite 4-Star Standard

We had a lovely couple of days at this hotel, mainly thanks to its beautiful beachfront location, crystal-clear water and peaceful surroundings. There are a few good tavernas and a beach bar nearby, and the hotel offers some facilities for families. Breakfast was decent, with some very good homemade Greek dishes, and the €20 lunch/dinner buffet was also a pleasant surprise.However, I feel the hotel is not really at a 4-star standard. We stayed with our 10-year-old child and the room was too small for three people. The bathroom is small and quite outdated, and the air conditioning is poorly positioned above the wardrobe. There is also only one slow elevator, which is clearly insufficient for a hotel of this size. Service around the pool and beach can be slow as the same waiter serves both areas.Overall, a nice hotel in a great location but the rooms, bathrooms, service and general level of comfort do not quite match what I would expect from a 4-star property.

The grove seaside hotel was an excellent experience in every aspect : location, beautiful and peaceful environment, very clean and well organised , very good food, very kind people, very friendly to animals .It is a unique experience , by the sea, I fully recommend it and I I hope that I will return to it for my holidays next year! We loved everything about this hotel. The look, rooms, balcony with views very friendly staff. The pool is the most enjoyable we have ever swam in. The owner/general manager is very present and involved with guests. Good quality of food in snack bar and restaurant. The beach is small and rocky. Taxis are needed for visits to Drepano ( 5 minute drive). Nothing special in the town. Tolo is 10 minutes away, more interesting, better beaches and nice shopping and restaurants. James from Montreal

What an absolutely adorable hotel. For the price u can’t beat it , I think we paid $120/ night …free breakfast , across the street from the beach . The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. This was my husbands favorite hotel EVER in traveling. I’m hoping we will be able to visit again next year .
