  I was there .. well its years ago. A bit of a travel to the beach as such.. Poor greek dude had to take a car for the luggage the steep hill getting in. Managemt was really good. And it was CLEAN!!!And honesty was key.. you could help your self with beer 24/7 just leave cash.I do not know if the same malakas run it at this point. I hope they do as it was a great hotell. But as I say .. how it is now? And you can sit outside.. the only noise you hear is some chatter from the pool.. All rooms afaik had balconies.

  Stayed here for a week. It's a bargain basement hotel for sure. Very much in need of decorating and updating. There is air conditioning in the rooms but you have to pay 50 euros per week to use it! WiFi is very hot and miss and is only reliably available in the reception area. To be fair, this is the same in lots of other places too. Spotlessly clean though, but the sheets and towels could do with being renewed. Tiny bathroom with a basic shower that you can just about fit in. Does the job after a long day at the beach tho. Breakfast is extremely basic and the same is served every day. Squash instead of fruit juice and instant coffee. If you stay here, go for the room only option.Having said all that, the guys that run the hotel are lovely. Very friendly and helpful. Repaired the shower as soon as we reported a problem. Nice clean pool area with sunbeds and shower. Good base to explore the island from but be warned, the hotel is at the top of a pretty steep hill! 20 minutes walk to the beach, the return is a bit more of an effort due to the hill.

  Myself and my partner booked this hotel for a week but had to check out the same day.When we arrived (after climbing up one of the steepest hills I've ever seen), the hotel was desolate with only 5 or 6 people in the entire hotel. The main reception area was disorganised with building work being done. We were given our room and when we got inside, we discovered the place to be filthy, with stained bedsheets, dirty floors, a taped up window in the bathrnoom and old bugs and dust everywhere. Also the wind really carried through the corridors and all you can hear is the constant sound of wind rushing past our door.(That's not including the fact there was no fridge and air con was extra)When we went to complain, the receptionist was rude, obnoxious and didn't believe what I said. He decided to start laughing in my face and that's when me and my partner decided to leave. We packed our stuff and left and even when we went to leave the keys at the desk, there wasn't any staff to be seen.Just a terrible time from start to finish, topped off by abysmal customer service.DO NOT RECOMMEND

  No fridge at all,hotel in summer destination in a place that the temprature goes till 40 degrees,that was like I live in hell!!the location is bad,not easy to find it also the village have confusing roads.at least it was not very expensive to live in this hotel.thats why choose 2* and not put 1*.

  Clean basic hotel friendly staff

  I've just come home from a week at this hotel. I had a lovely stay. The room had a village view which was good as it was nice and cool in the daytime. The room was basic but spotlessly clean and cleaned daily and plenty of fresh towels left for us. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. For the price you pay the breakfast was more than adequate. It's on a really steep hill, so if you don't like to walk at all or have issues with mobility then it's not for you, but I didn't find it too bad, and it helped to walk off dinner. I would defiantly stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a clean no frills option on Rhodes.
