Wouldn't recommend if disabled, you need to have a very open mind staying at this hotel.

    rating28 May 2026

Stayed in this hotel recently with my daughter. I am disabled, use crutches and a standard size collapsible wheelchair. My first issue on arrival, I couldnt get into either lift whilst in my wheelchair, so needed to collapse it down. Our room was practically at the end of the corridor. On entering our room, what hit me was the height of the beds or lack of height. My daughter who is about 5ft2in stood next to the beds, the base and mattress didnt reach her knee. In the shower, I was provided with a stool which was also very low (not even the height of the bed), no grab rails in the bathroom yet I asked for an accessible room. Spoke with the 2 lovely receptionists who showed me another room, but again same issue with the beds being low, so an extra mattress was put on top of 1st one to make it higher, which then helped. The food in the restaurant wasnt very appetising with not much variety and it was cold, even though we asked if it could get heated, so we ate out every night even though we were half board. Breakfast there was a variety of food, but my one issue, was where they put the pastries/cakes there were no plates or napkins at that area.Entertainment on certain nights, was done outside by the pool, but you couldn't have a hot drink i.e a tea or coffee, yet you could go to the small coffee shop attached to the hotel and purchase a drink there but again not allowed to have it where the entertainment was.The staff were lovely and did there best to try and make our stay as comfortable as possible.Photos were view from balcony (which we didn't use) and the beds before a 2nd mattress was added to one bed.Smoking was allowed in the rooms, the smell carried through the aircon vents, so was quite strong at time for non smokers and it lingered about for quite awhile.Would I go back to this hotel.....sadly no.Didn't use the pool as it was very cold water. Only saw 2 people in it the whole time we were there (a week).

Overall a lovely hotel and nice staff!

    rating24 May 2026

I stayed at Blue Sky Hotel in Rhodes in April 2026 and it was my first ever solo holiday. When I arrived, the woman on the reception desk was very nice and welcoming. The location of the hotel is great! The beach is only a short cross over the road and every evening I would go over and watch the sunset. The hotel itself was clean and I felt very safe staying in the hotel and within the local area in general. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the old town and probably 30 min walk of you go the scenic route via the coast. The hotel room was nice but basic in decor. The hotel staff were lovely and there's a good selection of cocktails. The frozen strawberry daiquiris were especially good! I went half board and the breakfast was nice. I personally didn't love the dinner food and on my last two nights I went for dinner else where at local restaurants. Whilst the hotel dinner options were edible, I probably wouldn't opt for half board if I was to stay again, I would just have the breakfast. However I am a slightly fussy eater so that might be why. I thought the lunch food options were nice and on my last day I got a free lunch as I missed the dinner time when I had landed and checked in to the hotel, which was lovely! The hotel pool and surrounding sun loungers were all nice and clean. The pool was quite cold so it was rarely used and I only went in a couple of times. I did notice that there wasn't loads of sunbeds available, I didnt have any issues getting one when I wanted to sunbathe around the pool but I can imagine during peak season it might be difficult to secure one.The biggest down fall for me was the shower, be warned it is more like a wet room rather than a shower and the entire floor gets soaked so don't leave any clothes on the floor. I thought the TVs in the room could be better (if I'm being very picky) as I've stayed in 4 stars hotel before which have smart TVs in the room but saying that, I was out most of the day and only used the tv at night- but just a suggestion. Overall, I would stay here again and I would definitely recommend it, especially for any women thibking of staying here on solo holidays!

First time was fantastic. Second not so much. Won't be a third time

    rating23 May 2026

This is the second time we have visited Rhodes and the Blue Sky City Beach Hotel. We loved the hotel the first time and really looked forward to coming back. Unfortunately we felt that this time visiting the hotel it has lost its luxurious feeling from last time. We couldn't get a sea view room this time and went for the only option available, an 'inland view'. Now when they say inland I know I'm not getting a beach view but did not expect to be directly overlooking tired and awful looking apartments. Had I known it would be like this then I certainly wouldn't have booked. Someone has started painting the balcony but obviously couldn't be bothered to move the chair to get behind it and just painted either side. It looked like it could have done with a good clean too. There was only the thick curtain meaning that when getting changed we had to shut it, resulting in having to put on the lights. A net curtain would have been handy here like other hotels. The deluxe double room we booked had nothing lux about it. The bed was extremely low and two twins pushed together. The memory foam mattress was awful and the sheets were so thin, you could have cut them with a blunt spoon. The finishings of the bathroom and bedroom wall were supposed to be concrete look I suppose but whoever did it forgot to put stuff on their trowel as there were gaps in their work which was really shoddy. The shower floor needed repairing too. The floor at the door looked like it was coming up and the gap through the door at night lit up the room you'd have thought that the light was on. We ended up putting a towel down to block out the light. There are no drawers just an open shelf and hanging rail. The fridge door is hanging down slightly amd twice caught my partner's foot when opening it. The chair needs a damn good clean too. Food wise this time was terrible. Now we are no where near fussy eaters generally always finding something to eat but the food choices were limited and the mashed potatoes were so solid they could've used it to finish the walls in the room!!! Speaking to a couple who had stayed for two weeks, they told us not to bother with breakfast as it was very limited and cold. They had to ask for theirs to be heated and it was microwaved. We were half board and never bothered with breakfast after that and ate twice which was enough. I had salad both times and you couldn't really call it salad. On our first night there was no host to greet us and direct us to a table. We had to call a server over to ask for drinks, and after the first course we had to go looking for someone to give us fresh cutlery. On the second night the host was too busy talking to her colleague to take notice of the room number and had to come to ask us again what our number was. Usually in all the hotels I have stayed in before, the waiting staff are right on you as soon as you come in to ask you if you want drinks, them when you're finished your course they are whipping away your empty plates and restocking the cutlery. This seemed poorly managed. We still had a great time despite the hotel not living up to expectations. Rhodes is beautiful and we will be back just not to this hotel!

Paris the waiter in bar fantastic, excellent service and Alexandria always with a smile and a welcome, nothing too much trouble. Good value for money.
