    Disgusting. It's a hostel not a hotel

    We walked into the hotel. First impression was good. Then we met the lift. Which was so small. we thought it was a cleaners cupboard. Joking aside. We arrived at our room. We were literally shocked at what we saw. I didn't realise a hotel could be so bad. The room hasn't seen a proper clean in months. I'm so pissed off iv already complained to TUI. Clearly no one has inspected this dump. And if they have they need sacking. Or an eye test.     Our week at the Butterfly hotel left us with memories of a dirty room and two visits to the hospital for stomach-issues. If the cleaning of the rest of the hotel reflects how they clean their citchen, everyone should stay well away from the hotel breakfast. We also had to argue to get our «free WIFI»-Code that was clearly included in our stay. On the positive side, the lady trying to clean or room was friendly. We will never visit this hotel again.     The noisiest hotel ever. Since you can hear everything from the reception, people's discussions, and the clatter of plates as breakfast is being prepared starting at six in the morning, I was unable to sleep for longer than four hours. It is on the first flor. My trip was destroyed by them. I stayed 11 nights, and they weren't interested in changing my room. I'm considering filing a complaint with the inspectorate.     Cockroaches and dirty rooms!

    My boyfriend and I do not recommend Butterfly Hotel in Rhodes. When we arrived, our room was flooded and the floor was dirty. Also, when we asked for new towels in the reseption, they wouldn’t give us that. In addition, it was imposible to order a taxi from the reseption.Our friends who also had a room at Butterfly, had a large problem with cockroaches (around 15 of them), and this ruined a hole night for all of us because they had to sleep in our room, as the hotel wouldn’t do anything until the next day thanks to Ving.     Horrible experience, Dirty rooms and crooked receptionists

    Where do I begin?The rooms were the epitome of dirtiness. Floor was dusty, aircon was smelly and broken, shower cabin and faucets were never cleaned, mattresses were overusedAnd here comes the “best part”…We asked for a taxi rendezvous to the airport of Rhodes from the previous evening scheduled to arrive in the next morning. We came down a bit earlier than the appointment and asked an old guy at the reception if he could call the company to ask them to come 15 earlier. The guy said that the appointment couldn’t not be changed and he didn’t make any effort to call. When I told him that I will call then, he said that he didn’t know which company it is (note that there are only two operating in Rhodes), and I should wait. I decided to call them myself and guess what, they didn’t have any bookings on our names. When I proceeded to book one myself, he came out running asking me for €2. When I asked why, he said that the reception lady from the previous shift will pay it from her own pocket if I didn’t. Note that the whole discussion was witnessed by the new cab driver who was an exemplar of professionalism. He explained that there was never a booking and that this is a common practice of the receptionists to make a buck by booking their friends’s cabs and overcharging the customers splitting the additional fees. Our new taxi driver called the call center and his manager and escalated this offering to go back and get the money back for us which we kindly declined, as we didn’t want to be late at the airport. Horrible experience that deteriorates the image of the island, tags everyone as unprofessional and crook though there are decent and hard working professionals, and left the affected with a bitter taste in their mouth that will be communicated through social media and friends and eventually hurt the island and everyone who work in it.It goes without saying that I will file an office complain to the Greek Ministry of Culture and Tourism but I will also send an accolade to the taxi driver that offered his unprecedented and unhindered support and help. Please note that when making bookings for a taxi from any hotel establishment, they reference the name of the hotel and not the names of the guests, and as a result of the pre-booked status, all taxi and/or transfer companies charge an additional 2 euros towards the fee of the transfer which is normal everywhere on the island of Rhodes which you are unfortunately not aware of.
