  Never before have I stayed in such a rundown and hopeless place. On arrival we were told our room would not be ready until the following day, so we'd have to stay in what I can only describe as a dog kennel, it was that dire. A room with no kettle, no cooking utensils and a small hob with a broken switch that was dangerous. No air con.Following morning and we were moved to a different room. Only very slightly better. Two cups, two forks, two knives and two teaspoons. One frying pan and a very small pan that will JUST hold a tin of beans (until it warms up, then it overflows) pool is utterly abysmal with green Algae forming a "tidemark" all around the edge of it. Asked the hotel staff about it and all they could say was the filter broke yesterday and it is being replaced tomorrow, but that algae has probably been there a few months it is that bad. Weeds growing through the tiles. And a pool bar that is never open. Highly unrecommended unless you're used to living in a hovel. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE read the negative reviews and book somewhere else

  Fantastic Budget friendly well run hotel

  Butterfly studios was a great experience and worth the price I paid. It’s located in an excellent place 5 mins from the beach and 1 min walk to a local shop. For what you pay it’s a brilliant place to stay and I would recommend to anyone looking for budget friendly accommodation. The staff Maria and Mike were lovely and helped me with anything I needed.5/5 !

  Don’t waste your money

  Honestly listen to the negative reviews. The beds were awful, the pool was not regularly cleaned resulting in a build up of dead insects & the sun beds were cheap and uncomfortable / there is also NO POOL BAR. The shower in room 25 burst and sprayed boiling water for over 20 mins. We were not given another room. Would have been 10xs worse if it was a child. Location is basic however close to beach.

  Came to stay only for 4 nights for a short break.The hotel is perfectly fine for a short stay that won't break the bank. The interior is clean and cool, and the rooms are the same. Each room is self-catered and has very basic cooking facilities, so if you are genuinely looking for self-catered accommodation, this is unlikely to satisfy your requirements. The bathroom is basic, essentially a wetroom with a shower in the corner and a shower curtain across the corner - the floor gets very wet very quickly. Comfortable beds, desk, chair and hairdryer, all the essentials are fine. I believe all rooms have a balcony which is nice to sit out on an evening. Electricals. All the circuits are controlled by your key which you put into a slot by the door to turn on the sockets/AC etc. This means that you can't leave the AC on to cool the room whilst out during the day, but I guess it saves energy! Close the curtains to keep cool. Our room had no sockets near the bed which is an issue for millennial travellers but realistically, you can manage. TV was up to date and we could even log into Netflic if we wanted to. There is a decent size fridge for drinks etc.Pool. Clean and a decent size, it was great to have. Barely anybody there when we stayed, so no problem getting a sun lounger. The one thing to note is that although it advertises a 'snack bar', there isn't one. There is a fridge by reception where you can buy drinks for reasonably cheap (2 euro pop, 1 euro water, 4 euro beer), but there is nowhere to get a snack. There is a sign by the pool to say not to eat your own food, but we did and didn't seem to be an issue.Location. 3-5 minutes to the beach, 10 minutes to faliraki centre - perfect. There is also a shop 2 minutes from the front door which will do soft drinks/crisps/some pastries and sandwiches for breakfast should you wish.Overall this hotel is dated and doesn't look the best, but if you are on a budget and with a group of friends/couple/solo I would reccomend - there isn't a lot to realy complain about if you aren't too fussy. Would not reccomend for families as there is little to do I would imagine.

  A great value for money experience

  Butterfly Studios is a great place to stay if you are looking for a clean and tidy hotel that won't break the bank. The facilities are reasonably basic but the rooms are kept clean and come with en-suite bathroom, a balcony, fridge, hair dryer and a decent-sized TV. The pool area was relaxing and always seemed to have sunbeds available.The staff were all really helpful and made us feel welcome.The hotel is located less than 10 minutes from the nearest beach, which is beautiful. The sea depth remained relatively shallow for a few meters, making it great for children.Faliraki's main strip was about 15 minutes away, lively in the evening, and well worth a visit. If you don't fancy walking too much, there are plenty of E-Scooters scattered around to hire.Overall we had an excellent stay, and won't hesitate to return to Butterfly Studios.
