  Pleasant Stay, great location stunning views

  Great rooms and location, but terrible atmosphere and service

  We stayed at Hotel Cactus (Room 502, 11–25 October). The rooms, view, location, and cleaning staff were excellent. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere was very negative. Reception staff were often unfriendly, breakfast service was extremely slow, and the pool music (techno) seemed chosen for the enjoyment of the three young staff members in the bar, not for the older guests. Most disappointing was the pool bar service — the waiter misunderstood my husband’s order and thought he wanted an iced coffee instead of an Irish coffee. When corrected, the waiter became extremely rude and unpleasant, making the experience uncomfortable.While the hotel has great potential, the poor attitude of staff and unfriendly, chaotic atmosphere made our stay less enjoyable than it should have been. We have never had a complaint regarding their behavior, and we are confident in their professionalism and courtesy.Regarding the music at the pool area, we always play tropical house music — never techno. Music taste is highly subjective, and while we understand that preferences differ, we do not consider this a negative point of service.Concerning the incident at the pool bar, it appears there was a misunderstanding due to the way the order was communicated. Your husband’s request was interpreted as iced coffee, which is why it was first prepared that way. As soon as the team understood that he wanted an Irish coffee, the drink was immediately arranged for you at our main bar. The bartender did not intend to be rude; he simply explained the misunderstanding and tried to serve you correctly.Even so, we regret that the situation left you with a negative impression. Our goal is always to provide a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests, and we take your comments seriously as we continue to improve.Thank you again for your feedback.   Very impressed with the cleanliness of our room and hotel overall. Our room was roomy with a balcony. we enjoyed the outdoor pool, the breakfast buffet was full of fresh delicious choices. Can’t beat the convenience of the beach right across the street. Would definitely be returning.   Superior, superior!

  I succeeded to upgrade my standard room to a superior room and I was very pleased to that! The room was very clean, nice shower and big balcony with sea view and also to palm alley.Breakfast was good enough and the bar made nice drinks. The pool area is large and there was always free sunbeds. I only wish that there would be more sun umbrellas (parasol) so that one could be in shadow too.My special thanks goes to ms.   Disappointing Stay Despite Good Location

  Rating: 2/5We arrived in the late morning and were able to check in right away, which was nice. Unfortunately, the room was nothing like the photos from booking we were given a ground-floor room without a sea view, with old, worn furniture, a damaged floor, dirty curtains, and a very cramped bathroom. The shower was unpleasant, and the toilet was positioned so awkwardly it could only be used sideways.Housekeeping was generally fine, but cleaners sometimes knocked and even came in As early as 8:30 AM while we were sleeping. Breakfast was repetitive with no variety, and some staff members were unfriendly.The pool area was a good size, but the water was occasionally dirty and once completely cloudy. Location is good, but overall the hotel fell far short of expectations based on the booking images. Regarding housekeeping, our cleaning procedure begins at 8:30 AM, as clearly stated on the information boards in each room.Concerning the pool, we maintain high cleaning standards using eco-friendly chemicals. Occasionally, the water may appear cloudy if many guests use it at the same time with sun cream, which is prohibited according to our posted pool rules.
