    Verbal Abuse by Staff & No Protection from Management

    My experience at ibis Barcelona Centro Sagrada Familia was unacceptable.During breakfast, the restaurant was chaotic — no supervision, guests cleaning tables themselves. While trying to clear a table so we could sit, I spoke briefly and calmly to a staff member.A few moments later, the same person approached me at the buffet and started shouting aggressively in front of 30–40 guests, using threatening body language and pointing at me. This was not a misunderstanding — it was clear verbal abuse.What followed was even more concerning:Reception staff saw and heard everything but did not interveneThe staff member remained nearby and approached againNo manager was availableNo effort was made to de-escalate or protect the guestAfter nearly two hours of distress, we were told relocation was possible — but only at a higher rate, while we were still charged for the stay where the incident occurred.This is not about a busy morning.This is a failure to provide a safe and respectful environment.For a hotel under Accor, this is simply not acceptable.Proceed with caution.

    This place is just a few minutes walk from Sagrada Familia and the hop on hop off bus stop. Have good eateries around it's corner and offers clean rooms, decent service and adequate breakfast. Overall, a good stay in Barcelona.

    The hotel is located very close to the Basilica as the name suggests. It has good transport links to the city centre too. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and adequate for a short stay. The staff are warm and friendly and quite helpful.

    Stayed here 3 nights in November 2025. Good location. Room was clean, freshly painted and spacious for an Ibis. Breakfast was nice and staff was friendly. As I was leaving early the last morning I asked for a lunchbox 24hrs before, which was confirmed- but then when I had to leave nothing was prepared. Card reader in the elevator should be replaced, never worked properly. Overall a bit overpriced, like many things in Barcelona.     Very close to Sagrada Famillia and metro station. Breakfast is good and tasty. Very good local ham.Perfect location, close to everything We spend 3 days in Barcelona without taking local transport. Everywhere we were able to go on foot.A lot of pubs bars and restaurant near the hotel,Nice bar where you can order food or some drinks.Very friendly staff. We have amazing time there.Highly recommended.
