    A great hotel with a new chef

    This is the fourth time my husband and I have stayed at the Esmeralda Hotel in Kremasti; a small family run hotel, where the owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming.The hotel is clean and comfortable, in a good location, close to shops, bus stops (20mins bus ride to old town) and about 1/2 mile 15mins walk to the beach.The food has always been good, however, they have a new chef, Stavros, who has elevated the food to excellent. Stavros and his front of house team are very attentive when dining and the bar. There are new menus with plenty of choice, with the food freshly prepared with care and creativity. Also, Stavros has gone the extra mile in accommodating my husband's gluten allergy, even preparing gluten free bread.I would highly recommend staying here, or popping in for the great food.

    Our first impression of the hotel was good, we were greeted friendly at the reception and the check in was done very fast. The old guy that took over after reception showed us the room and made a very BAD impression. Shouting things in Greek and (from what we understood) being very pissed about us putting our backpack on our bed. The guy felt horribly invasive and stayed in the room for multiple minutes trying to explain the most basic stuff in his language. At some point we were quite done with this behavior but at that point he, luckily, left. Later we found out it’s the owner of the hotel. He looks 80+, so it feels like it’s his time to hand over the hotel to someone else and enjoy his old day.Anyway, the rest made up for his part. The breakfast is a simple, but à la carte menu of which you can just pick and choose! The girls and guy at the bar and breakfast are super friendly and good at their job.Our room was simple, but good enough! It has a good bed, AC and the shower works fine!

    We stayed for two weeks in September it’s absolutely lovely little place clean tidy friendly staff we would definitely recommend it

    The hotel is new renovated and very clean, with polițe staff, the Guy from the bar is the best,but unfortunately the owners create an unfriendly atmosphere.The pool May look good în photos but în reality it's useless-plăcere on the Main street, right în front of the dinning area,with no real space or comfort for guests!Definitely not a feature worth mentioning!Breakfast was the biggest surprise, although included included în the price, was far below expectation:Limited portions, no vegetables ,no proper cheese(at my request half of a slice of processed cheese),only White toast bread available. Drinking water was charged separatly.The yogurt came with canned fruits instead of fresh,and the Coffee was truly unpleasant.Overall the breakfast experience does nit reflect the standards one would expect from a hotel în Greece!, even from a *** hotel!In the end this hotel is all appperance and no substance-not worth the money especially for breakfast included!
