      The best choice for families who want a quiet holiday, close to Rhodes but away from the noise. Comfortable parking, cleanliness everywhere, large and bright rooms. The highlight, however, are the owners. Very friendly and helpful, they give you the right instructions to have a good time. Good breakfast, even better snacks.       The road between Tilarin and Santa Helena is terrible. Gravel and full of potholes. Unless you have a 4X4 do not take this road. Also there are full size school buses using this road and if you get behind one, it adds over an hour to the route. I suggest taking the longer route down to route 1.

      Family run business with excellent service in a wonderful location. Rooms are immaculate and spacious. Recommend the walk up to Filerimou Monastery. Very generous for those on a limited budget. Lots of traditional restaurants in close proximity. I'm a hippie and roam around a lot. My travel buddy is an author and found it most peaceful. This is my top pick for Ancient Ialyssos.
