    We booked Modul hotel for our 4 night stay in Rhodes, and were extremely disappointed. The hotel itself was a long walk from the beach (not the hotels fault but a bit inconvenient), the hotel room was dirty, and the whole place smelt of cigarettes (the manager and receptionist chain smoke in the lobby). Quite shockingly, despite paying a healthy room price we were informed upon arrival that we had to pay an extortionate amount of money to use the Aircon and the WiFi (the total cost of both for the stay would have been €40, which was the cost of another nights stay). However, the most disappointing thing was the complete rudeness and aggression the staff treated us with. We had to check out at 8.15 to catch the ferry, and in our rush to pack up and leave completely forgot to leave money at reception for the aircon charge (they didn’t have someone at reception in the morning either). When we arrived at the ferry port 20 minutes later I checked my phone to find a barrage of aggressive messages threatening to call the police if we didn’t return to the hotel immediately and pay them the money for the air conditioning. After explaining our mistake and sending over the money right away, we gently suggested that next time they shouldn’t immediately threaten to call the police, after which they sent more aggressive and threatening messages warning us not to leave a bad review. This place is an absolute horror show, and we sincerely regret not reading the reviews before we came.

    Do not book with this hotel. There are much nicer hotels closer to town, who don’t demand €5 for aircon and €2 for WiFi. We also checked out early, earlier than the reception was open. We were in such a rush to catch the ferry that we forgot to pay what we owed for the aircon, my boyfriend checked his phone when we got to the ferry port and saw a barrage of threatening messages. Instead of sending a nice message asking us to pay, the staff at the hotel threatened us that they will call the police if we didn’t come back. We aren’t thieves, and it’s extremely sad that their mannerisms and approach to paying customers suggests so. Extremely disappointed.

    Great holiday in a friendly hotel

    This is a small and friendly hotel about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Falaraki. This year it was being run by husband and wife team Yiannis and Maria with Jim behind the bar. Rooms are more spacious than some, cleaned daily, with a fridge, hairdryer, kettle and mugs for that morning brew.They have a menu of snacks and main meals to rival the local restaurants if you fancy a night in, along with a well stocked bar.The pool is clean and with plenty of sunbeds plus an area with tables and chairs in the shade for lunch out of the afternoon sun.Aircon, room safe and wi-fi extra as per normal for a 2/3 star hotel in Greece.I've been to previous hotels that the family have run & always had a brilliant time. They make a real effort to get to know their guests - if the guests want to take the time to say hello then you'll get a warm hello back & much more.The only negative for me is that you have to cross the main road to get to the beach - taking your life in your hands with the speeding cars. It won't stop me going next year though!

    If your looking for a chilled fun filled holiday I highly recommend The Modul. If your wanting to be near the centre of Faliraki its roughly a 10 mintute walk. Yannis, Maria and Jim made our holiday with their friendly hospitality and the cooking has to be up there with the top restaurants un the resort. It's truly value for money guys and once you've been Im sure you'll be back like the many people we met who had followed Yannis and Maria whichever hotel they run for years. YAMMAS

    Just had 2 weeks at this hotel the owners did a great job in looking after us, the hotel is sited in a quite location a 10 to 15 minute walk to Faliaki center. Had a great time and will be going back next year.
