Location

The hotel is located in Kolymbia in the east of the island, 400 m from the beach. Rhodes Town is about 25 km away.

The hotel has a lifts and features 156 rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock.     Worthy 4*, almost a 5*. The good - Facilities and staff great. The bad - layout of buffet, hard beds, cold pool.

    Stayed at the end of May 2026.Family of 5, 1 child.Stayed 7 days, 2x superior rooms.Food in general is good, the ability to have gyros, pizza and ice cream at any point during the day was a very good option.Buffet wasn’t to everyone’s preference in types of food, but in general the quality of food was good (deserts in general were great). The buffet busiest at opening is a bit chaotic, I do feel they would benefit from a more straight line layout to combat this issue, but after 20-30 mins from it opening it was fine (mainly dinner).Staff were all excellent, didn’t have a single problem with any staff member and all were very Polite and more than willing to help when they can.Entertainment team were good, for a small team they did well to keep audiences engaged, but we book this hotel not expecting much in regards to entertainment, so having anything from basic evening music was a bonus.Hotel was always clean and tidy, hotel room was furnished well, bathroom was very lovely, nice and modern.Beds were hard, took a couple of nights to get use to it, but wouldn’t want to do 14 nights on them.Only had 1 keycard for the room which was a pain, but understandable to stop people leaving aircon running in an empty room.Pool was always cold, no heated pools (or at least wasn’t turned on).Claiming a sunbed wasn’t a mad dash in the morning to layout towel, went and had breakfast at around 9 and then went to the pool and setup for the day.In general, the hotel was good value for money. Clean, friendly staff, beds hard, food in general good, pool cold but never had an issue getting a sunbed.Reason for 4 and not 5 star- Organisation and layout of buffet.- Entertainment lacking (might be worth looking at bringing in an extra act during the week from an external source)- Cold pools.

    The Lydia Maris Hotel & Spa in Kolymbia is a real gem! The staff here are absolutely incredible, always going the extra mile to make sure everyone has a fantastic time. A special shout-out has to go to Gustavo, he's an absolute legend when it comes to entertaining both kids and adults – his energy and enthusiasm are infectious! The hotel itself is lovely, with great facilities, but it's the people, especially Gustavo, that truly make this place shine.

    The room was excellent and very clean. Staff were friendly and efficient.Entertainment staff were brilliant and very good in everything they did.The food at all 3 meals was outstanding, loads of choice and the soups were delicious and always hot. The omelette chef in the mornings was a lovely friendly lady who cooked like a dream.All inc drinks and cocktails were very good and lots of choice.The shower cubicle was large but needs better draining and the beds were a little to hard.

    Just been to this amazing hotel, the location is brilliant, so many shops and beach nearby, the atmosphere within the hotel is great, the music quiz on a night was my favourite show, they have a different show every night meaning you are seeing something different daily, and very inclusive to all age types, the mini disco was very good for kids and the events through the day for the kids is amazing, the rooms are really cleaned and the cleaners are lovely. The animation team are brilliant and so willing to talk to you throughout the day especially when doing day activities. Working hard for 6 days a week putting there heart and soul into everything they do for the guests! Gustavo and Thomas are brilliant!!!!! Gustavo works so hard to keep everyone happy and such a cheerful person lovely to talk to. Will definitely be coming back!!!!!

    Absolute Gem of a resort, it does exactly what it says on the tin, checked out 22/05/26, spent a week in room 659, there us nothing which is too much for these lovely people who took care of us, from the young lady who managed our room for the week to the Bar, Reception and Restaurant Staff there is no words to say how grateful and thankful we are for making our stay one of the most relaxing ones we've had in years.Special mention to Gustavo and the amazing Animation Team, tireless working during the whole time we were there, even managed to get this old git in the Pool for the Water Polo, to which I thoroughly enjoyed, Bravo to the entire ensemble of Staff. Thank you all.
