This bungalow-style hotel complex is located 400 m from the beach, in the well-known tourist area of Kolymbia. Shops, restaurants, cafés and traditional fish taverns are to be found in the close vicinity of the hotel and in the nearby shopping centre. Lindos is some 20 km away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 16 single rooms and 79 double rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Services include medical assistance.

Rooms

Rooms include air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) ensure optimal comfort. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. A variety of refreshing drinks await guests at the pool bar. Leisure activities and facilities at the resort include table tennis, billiards and darts or, for a fee, massage treatments. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy an entertainment programme.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant and a bar. All-inclusive can be booked. A delicious and varied buffet awaits guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals. For guests, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

    The best holiday! The Marathon Hotel was a dream! ALL staff are lovely. Kind, warm, welcoming, polite, accomodating and helpful, they conduct themselves with such professionalism! The rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable with maid service daily! The food, is simply amazing! So much on offer and in abundance!!! So tasty too! Buffet restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with fresh pizza being made by Gianni daily as a pool snack which are delicious and Gyros being made of an evening up until 11:50pm. You will not go hungry at this hotel! There is such an effort by all to keep things clean and tidy. I have to personally mention Max, who is the entertainment lead. He organises daily and evening entertainment solo and does a fantastic job! He is so much fun! We will miss him greatly as well as the pool bar staff Dennis and Asteris! People like them make your holiday, again they will be very much missed! We had a room issue when we arrived, had requested a ground floor due to my mums back disability but had been placed on the first floor with stairs, it was sorted with no problem, no hesitation! The manager Vissilis is a professional, polite man who holds the hotel to a high standard! I cannot say enough about this hotel, you will not be disappointed by this hotel! As for Kolymbia itself, I loved it! Some shops and tavernas along the street, a beautiful beach and beachside bar with views of the old St Nicholas Chapel which is a must see. We had meals at Ousaki and Carussel, both were lovely! Ousaki had a little more ambience and charm but both restaurants were great! Easy bus routes to attractions and places to visit. I will be back to visit! The Marathon and Kolymbia have my heart.     This hotel is 4stars should be 5, its staff from the cleaners to the manager & all in between are excellent !!!!! The hotel is spotlessly clean eveywhere is washed down every day , rooms cleaned everyday! Iv enjoy my stay so much & do not want to go home ,! The food is amazing with so much choice ! Entertainment is great with max doing it all on his own ! Greek night was fantastic ! A few people staff wise will be hard to leave behind as in denis & asteris barmen, max , gianni the pizza guy , his pizzas are to dye for!! Gyrous untill late are fantastic too ! I will be very sad to go home ! Will be back soon !!     Great hotel in central Kolymbia

    Marathon Hotel is central in Kolymbia, easy access bars and restaurants. About 3/4 mile from the best beach at the largest harbour. The staff at this hotel are very good and friendly , they are a credit to the hotel. Special mentions for the entertainment chap who worked hard to keep the special needs people entertained. Also the pool bar staff who worked tirelessly throughout. Rooms were small but adequate, only gripe was climbing into the bath for a shower, very little room for manoeuvre. Overall the hotel was excellent value for money. Food was fantastic and well cooked and kept hot. Hotel was generally very clean, though there are a few cracked tiles on steps. Our room was above the pool bar and we had the Brilliantina bar at the back of us, so yeah we had some noise, it wasn't too bad all considered.     Great hotel! This is my 3rd time and it feels like home. Outstandingly polite service and great food. Only 10mins from the beach and facilitated on the main street with plenty of shops around. Beautiful rooms and facilities, great food. Highly recommend!!     I had an amazing stay at the Marathon Hotel. As a vegan, I often worry about food options when traveling, but here I felt completely taken care of from the very first day. Every day there was fresh pizza made in a beautiful pizza oven, and they even prepared a special pizza without cheese just for me. The staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful — sometimes they already had vegan options prepared before I even asked.Whether it was sushi, wraps, or the vegan milk alternative I received every morning, everyone remembered my preferences immediately. At one point, I only had to look at a staff member and they already knew what I needed. That level of care and attention was truly special. Whenever I had questions about ingredients or food, the staff always had answers and were happy to help.The rooms, pool, and location are also fantastic. The hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from beautiful beaches, hiking opportunities, and several affordable car rental options nearby.Another lovely detail was the bar service — cocktails were happily prepared alcohol-free on request, and sometimes the staff even improvised creative mocktails for me.Overall, this hotel made me feel genuinely welcome and cared for.
