  Marine Congo is a well located, family run hotel in a quiet residential part of Rhodes town, only 5 minutes walk from the beach, and perhaps 40 minutes walk into the centre of Rhodes town. Some good local restaurants nearby, well frequented by locals as well as some tourists, and a very good coffee shop just up the road for fresh coffee, bread, pastries etc. The rooms were very clean, and although the hotel is perhaps a little dated, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The small pool was enough to have a cooling dip but not really big enough for a proper swim, but we spent most of our time on the beach where comfortable sunbeds were available for 7 euros per person per day.

  Truly Exceptional Hotel – Highly Recommended!

  An excellent hotel from every point of view. This was our second consecutive year staying at this hotel, and once again, everything was perfect. First and foremost, the staff is exceptional—friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. We'd like to sincerely thank them for all the support they offered during our stay.The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is delicious and varied—just what you need to start your day right. Zephyros Beach, with its soft sand, is just a few minutes away and the charming Old Town of Rhodes is only a 15–20 minute walk from the hotel.If you rent a car, there’s a large, free parking lot right in front of the hotel.All in all, this is a hotel that truly deserves every bit of praise. Congratulations to the owners and the entire staff!We will definitely come back!

  The rooms are cleaned daily and the breakfast was good. The pool area is small but cozy.There are several supermarkets and restaurants in the neighbourhood and the beach is about 10 minutes away.The staff was very friendly.AC is not included in the price, you will pay extra if you want and the WIFI is free.

  I got scammed, mislead and yieled at and they messed my vacations.

  Got there as it was closed to the ferry, Easter holidays and my previous reservation was cancelled.I first reserved a couple days with Agoda, than decided to stay there even if it was 25 minutes walk from the old town as I was tired and did not have the courage to repact and move all my thing. They began to do some renovation work on my floor before I reserved the last couple of nights (my 2 last days in Greece). Instead of telling me before I reserved I would have to move room (best solution) or to sent me an email (2nd best solution) they wait that I came back. I came back to the hotel at night extremly tired and just wanting to go sleep, and the girl there told me I have to change room NOW. Could you imagine?I told here I was that even if I wanted, I was too tired to do so and I just wanted to sleep and that they should have let me know before as I would not have reserved 2 nights more. Instead of showing some synpathy and apologizing for the inconvenience and offer to move my things or at least help to do so, she began to yiel at me and tell me I must move things tonight as they would begin to work on the floor early the morning after. I repeated I was not able too and say I would get out of the room early the morning after. The next morning, I went to the reception to get a refund for the second night. I wanted to changed hotel as I had to repack everything anyway and as slept very badly as our conversation stressed me and I woked up in the middle of the night to pack my things. I used the bell at the reception a few time but nobody came, I knocked the soir of the kitchen, waited for more than 10 minutes. I decided to take a coffee as the bar was closed and I never got into my room the kettle I ask for to makes a coffee. Not only she didn't want to refund the second night or give me any compensation for the trouble of having to change room, but she wanted me to pay for a breakfast because I took one cup of coffee after waiting for the for 15 minutes. I asked to talk to the boss but she did not want to call him. She said I have to wait that he arrived (which would likely be a couple of hours). Finally, I talked to the boss (or a person in charged). She was finaly able to make a refund but she said I paid less than the real price (but I paid the same price than in the app) and that she could only refund me the real price. I was surprised she wanted to refund me more than what I paid. But instead, she overcharged me 8 EUR for the previous night and calculateur a 2.5 EUR taxes for both nights (I stayed only one and taxes are 1.5 EUR). All this to say that they mislead me, they scammed me, they made me loose à few hours and messed up my last day in Greece. I have been traveling for 30 years and it is one of my worst hotel experience. Other than that, in term of misleading information, room was not clean everyday, there were no hairdryer in the bathroom and check-in was all but express (the only hotel out of 7 during this trip for which there was paper work), and the pool was not open. I has the breakfast included the first couple days and it was horrible : the worst quality possible quality of bread, artificial orange juice, weak lukewarm coffee, no fruit, no cereal and no yogourt. The only other things available were meat and eggs. On the positive note, there was a big TV and all other staff members were nice and helpful. But as the problem is likely the management, I would suggest travelers to look for better options.

  Lovely staff, rooms were comfortable! Great location away from the busy centre. Breakfast was adequate at a fair price at the hotel! The evening front desk/ barman was friendly and was interested in hearing your stories not just ticking boxes. Thanks to everyone for your time.
