  Outrageous booking incident and resulting customer service

  The owners and managers at Maroula overbooked us and were dishonest about it. We were left to stay in a neighbouring hotel which was a disgrace despite being an ‘upgrade’. The apartment was dirty and old fashioned, the bathroom was awful and shower was broken, we weren’t given the WiFi access or kettle, the towels weren’t changed. They advised us that the only way for compensation was through booking.com but obviously by the time we tried to arrange compensation we were told it was too late despite being given no alternative to stay in a better place. I wouldn’t trust their seemingly friendly manner. It is a tactic to hold onto their money. Very unfortunate because this was easily avoided if not for greed

  A terrible stay at this facility

  I have never written a negative review, but I don’t know how this hotel has such a positive rating. We stayed here for five days, and it was absolutely horror. The hygiene was very bad. There was a dirty razor in the shower. Toothpaste spots across the sink and mirror. Thick black hairs and dust everywhere and the toilet was very dirty. When we alerted the staff, the cleaning lady took out the razor and left. It was incredibly dirty. The room itself was also not great. The bed was hard. A matras is always a personal preference, but it felt like the matras was missing. We couldn’t sleep en had backpain out entire stay. The bathroom was very small (they don’t post pictures of it for a reason). The shower was broken, so even with the shower curtain closed, the entire bathroom was wet (including toilet paper and towels and anything else there). The shower isn’t on the wall, it is handheld, that’s really annoying when washing you’re hair. The drying rack on the balcony was broken and laid on the floor. The man behind the reception was also unprofessional. He wore AirPods while we were talking to him and he never once asked how our stay is/was. To end this review on a positive note: the pool and seating area is nice. The distance to the city is also very okay

  A lovely, peaceful hotel

  A lovely, quiet hotel within 5 minutes walk of the main bars of Faliraki. The pool is lovely and gets the sun pretty much the entire day. The man who I presume was the owner was very friendly and made our stay enjoyable. Great parking for those with transport and the rooms have fridges, kitchens and amazingly good air conditioning! Went with 4 stars for two reasons. Firstly, the wash rooms could do with an upgrade. They’re clean and tidy but there was only a hand held shower which made it difficult for my wife to was her hair and for me to shower my 10 month old son. BUT, we made it work. Once we sussed out how to get the right temperature! Secondly, and this didn’t pose a huge problem to ourselves, but whilst the walk in to the main bars, clubs and restaurants is a short one, it’s across a road and sandy field with no lighting. We usually stay elsewhere with family when in Rhodes but if for any reason we needed to stay elsewhere again in future, we’d happily stay here!

  Great location (it is NOT in the busy center) perfect for our daytrips, you can easily explore Faliraki and the island itself from here. Staff extremly friendly and helpful.The cook is amazing. Highly recommended, perfect value for the money. Maybe not modern and new but hey, the beds are comfy, there is a cold refrigator and the bathroom is alright. No need for anything else for an active holiday on Rhodes.

  Perfect first stay in Rhodes island

  We were looking to book a holiday in Rhodes, but everything was so expensive and overrated. We found this place through easyjet and booked us in. Our plane was delayed and arrived early in the morning, but we were greeted by our host Stregos who was very really nice. We had a bit of issues with our aircon but it was fixed within a day! Don't read the last nasty comment, Stregos and his family make sure that your stay is smooth. We asked for soup which was not on the menu and they were happy to make it! It was amazing! If you have any query they will look after you.Yes the rooms need improvements, but we spent our time outside in the sun, we stay inside enough in UK due to the rainy weather. The pool and the garden is very clean and tidy, town center and beach very close. Highly recommended if you have no big expectations!
