Location

The hotel is situated in the lush garden area of the main building of the resort complex. It is set in a quiet side street just 100 metres from the beach. The surrounding area offers a variety of mini shops and restaurants, all in close reach of the hotel. The centre of Ialysos is around 2 km away. Guests will find restaurants, bars, clubs and shopping around 2-3 km away. The mediaeval Old Town of Rhodes is some 10 km from the property. Guests may also be interested in visiting Monolithos, around 35 km away. Rhodes International Airport is around 5 km from the hotel.

Facility

193 rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the holiday village feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe and a desk are also available. For guests' convenience, units include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and bathrobes are available for daily use. The complex has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

No matter the weather, guests can take an energising swim in one of the 2 indoor and outdoor pools. There is also a special swimming area just for kids. Pure relaxation in the hot tub (for a fee), fun on the waterslide and refreshing drinks at the pool bar – guests will experience just how rich and varied a day in the water can be. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. The complex offers outdoor sports, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, bocce, beach volleyball, basketball and horse riding or, for a fee, crazy golf. With windsurfing, canoeing, snorkelling, diving, water aerobics and aquafit available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example table tennis, darts and aerobics or, for a fee, a gym and billiards. A wellness area with a spa is available to guests of the holiday village. There are a selection of services and facilities, including a sauna and massage treatments, available for a fee. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, live music and a dance club.

Meals

Dining facilities include a café and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. Catering options include half board and all-inclusive. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests serve themseves at the buffet or choose their preferred fare from the menu (for dinner). Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available.

    Hello everybody! Im really recommended this place for vacation. Everybody in this hotel was friendly, very positive and helpful. I was on holiday near two weeks and it was really good time. Good place, good people, delicious breakfast, nice swimming pool, good location. Matina from the front desk is one of the best worker in this place, she helped me with my many question. 10/10!

    One of the first words spoken to me was about the tourist tax.Looking at the reviews did I go to the same hotel ,Booked to go to Greece as I’d never been before this hotel looked ok About 15 minutes from the airport so short transfer classed as a 4 star which it is definitely not but you get more in tourist tax so that’s why I’m sure Food pretty standard breakfast , nice staffEvening meal some were lovely some were shocking , green salad balsamic and rocket and tomato, I don’t like tomatoes but offered nothing else but it was tasty , very chewy pork and chips in a supposedly 4 star hotel .Another meal onion rings and a bit of bbq sauce .Not much choice at all , most of the staff were lovely, had a jug of water and a glass brought I asked for some ice and he said it’s already in there no offer of any mor3 as it had obviously melted he was very rude Seems if your going b and b you get a lot more choice.Room was basic but clean but faults there too , will be adding videos They had a Greek night but I thought we might have been offered a small Greek drink like ouzo nope nothing It seems all the money has been spent on the reception certainly not the hotel.It’s in the middle of nowhere very run down area imo

    We stayed at Matoula Beach for a week in early October. Initially we were allocated a very small room. When we mentioned this to reception, we were transferred to a lovely spacious pool view room. The hotel had a pleasant relaxed atmosphere, and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. A really comfortable stay - and highly recommended.

    We had a lovely time at matoula beach...our second holiday here and was as good as the first one. This year we stayed bed & breakfast and we had some delicious meals in the nearby tavernas, there are at least 3 very nearby.The staff at matoula are so kind and friendly and very efficient too nothing is too much trouble and the place is always so clean and welcomingWe took the hotel bus to Rhodes town (good value) which is a great place lots to see and so many nice bars & restaurants Thank you everyone at Matoula for a wonderful stay

    Just returned from 2 weeks at Matoula Beach and what a fantastic holiday. Staff here were so lovely and helpful. Set in lovely grounds. Decking around the pool and garden area. Yes some of the sun beds are a little worn but there were plenty to choose from. Breakfast was varied including fruits, breads, hot and cold Buffet (worth noting if you’re gluten free there’s little choice but you can get a small gf loaf from local supermarket and take a couple slices into breakfast to add with egg, meat or whatever ) . Entertainment 3 nights a week. Greek night was lovely. Well worth going. Beds made daily and linens changed regularly. Around 8 local bars / restaurants within 10 minute walk or main centre is a 40 min walk or on local bus. Shuttle from hotel to Rhodes town is definitely great value. And a must to visit night and day. Mymarket supermarket is a 10 minute walk set on main road and has everything you could need and a Lovely coffee and doughnut shop next door All in all a fantastic holiday with lovely people
