Good but there are some immediate improvements to be made....

    rating05 May 2026

Just returned from 7 days at the Mitsis Faliraki and overall I would say it was a very good experience however:I am concerned that despite some repeated issues identified on this site there is the 'standard response' by the management team about 'taking it onboard' however there is unfortunately clear evidence that nothing in key areas changes which is disappointing and should be picked up by the Mitsis senior management.Check-in was ok but as others have said they offered no information about the hotel facilities, they also insisted on completing a tablet check in despite having already checked in online an unnecessary annoyance .Choose your room carefully, be aware that a 'side sea view' room is looking out and leaning out of your balcony to see the sea, there is also a noisy delivery area at the rear of the hotel, avoid rooms in this area. Room TV's are not good from an English perspective, if it's important to you and you have a fire stick take it with you, the minibar is good and replenished daily, there are tea and coffee facilities in the room together with a safe, the shower and amenities in our 3rd floor room were excellent however it would help if you said which rooms have tubs on check in as getting in and out can be an issue for some, especially older people. All the staff work really hard and look and act professional at all times, the dining room hostess was really excellent and there was no waiting to get a table in the main restaurant. You will have to pre book the al la carte restaurants on the Mitsis App before you arrive to enjoy these facilities or run the risk of no availability, we did this and were able to enjoy these restaurant's throughout our stay and they are really excellent, however the main buffet is bland and below standard for a 5* hotel. Breakfast was good however lunchtime and dinner could be improved with more variety and more importantly the food needs to be hotter not just in some cases it was just warm. Not all plate warmers work which doesn't help! We had an instance of waiting 10 mins for basic chips, clearly annoying and unnecessary. A supervising Chef should be front of house to maintain standards. Sunbeds around the pool were 'reserved' by some individuals who did not use them for best part of the day, some people will never change and this is hard for the hotel to manage however they could control this better, fortunately there are plenty of comfortable beds around the hotel and beach so don't worry about getting one.I didn't see any daytime entertainment or activities. One of our absolute disappointments was when the entertainment was on in the evening, despite the presence of managers around there was absolutely no control exercised around the kids running and screaming in front of the performance area, they were constantly running up and down the slope into this area, how there wasn't an accident I'm really surprised and how those performers carried was a credit to them, audience participation is good but allowing uncontrolled children this to spoil everyone's evening should be dealt with. This is the the responsibility of the parents but there should have been more immediate management control and intervention, it totally spoiled the entertainment! Consider getting some roped off area established in front of the performers which would perhaps deter this happening and maybe some signage. On a couple of nights the entertainment moved indoors due to the weather, this lounge is so bright it's like being in an office or shop, led lights are so cheap now so can you not look at putting some into this area so lights can be dimmed at night to create a better intimate atmosphere? There was often queue's for drinks at the bar.The coffee shop and crepe team offered superb service especially Olga, they were all excellent. The same for the hardworking lady at the beach bar.Drinks, especially cocktails, were not always great, far too much ice spoilt the drinks and the soft drinks were of poorer quality especially the post mix 'sprite' and 'orange Fanta'. There are some premium spirits but you have to specifically ask for them or you will get served local. Don't expect real Malibu or Bailey's that was disappointing. Lager is always local so no choice. I was really excited to try Mitsis for the first time and overall it was 'OK' but I wanted excellent, for the start of the season some aspects in my opinion need further attention by the management team. There is opportunity here to make a good experience into a great experience for all guests.

    4* at best

    rating02 May 2026

Came expecting a 5* experience and it’s just not that. It’s ‘nice’ and if it had 4* stars over the door it would be acceptable. Unfortunately as a 5* it has to live up to expectations and this hotel just doesn’t. I’ll start with the positives- the hotel is very clean, the staff are helpful & plentiful, the mini bar is included, the beach is lovely with plenty of beds, the gym is good, the crepes are great and the pool areas are good (albeit cold!). Unfortunately, that’s about it. As for the negatives- hold onto your hats! The check-in is poor, no welcome pack, no direction of where anything is, that’s down to you to figure out! Rooms are small, the sea view is great but from these rooms you then get the noise from the below bars very late into the evening. The doors & walls to the rooms may aswell be made of paper- fine if people had consideration for others but unfortunately they don’t- it’s similar with the cleaners in the morning, they start early & chat and shout loudly down the corridors with zero consideration that guests might still be sleeping. The hotel itself is overcrowded, this isn’t a relaxing hotel, quite often queuing for the bar in the evenings, queuing for food which is a bit of a free for all, with nowhere to properly sit for the evening entertainment because it’s so busy. The food is a let down, main restaurant bland and samey and unless you’ve booked the Al a Carte restaurants prior, you won’t be getting in! We weren’t aware and tried to book on our first day- we could only get into the burger place for lunch, all others were full- this was one of our biggest bug bares because we generally don’t go AI, however the lure of restaurant options sold it. It meant we spent more money eating out than intended which wasn’t the plan. In short, on the surface it’s a lovely hotel, but underneath it’s just an average 4* at best. Disappointing for a “5-Star” Experience

    rating30 Apr 2026

We recently returned from a five-night stay expecting a luxurious five-star experience, but unfortunately, several aspects of the hotel fell short of that standard.⸻Arrival & Check-InThe check-in process lacked essential information. We weren’t properly informed about hotel facilities, timings, or how the à la carte booking system worked. This caused confusion later on.Tip: Book à la carte restaurants before arrival. When we tried to book on-site, the system was unclear and most time slots were already unavailable, which forced us to dine outside despite being all-inclusive.There were also no welcome drinks on arrival, which you would typically expect from a five-star hotel. On a positive note, the staff member who helped with our luggage was very friendly and gave a helpful introduction to the room.⸻RoomThe room itself was clean, modern, and well-stocked with a mini fridge (soft drinks, water, and alcoholic beverages replenished daily). However, we paid for a sea view and were disappointed to find our balcony overlooked the staff loading bay. While there was technically a glimpse of the sea, it required leaning over the balcony to see it. The noise from deliveries and bins during the night made it difficult to relax or use the balcony at all.⸻Pool AreaThe pool area was very clean, which we appreciated. Staff were excellent—quickly clearing glasses and offering attentive service. There were plenty of comfortable sun loungers with high-quality cushions, though umbrellas were fixed in place, meaning you had to move loungers to stay in the sun.The pool itself was very cold and not heated. Also, while the hotel advertises six pools, we could only find four, and one of those was closed.Another disappointment was discovering that some promotional images featured a pool from a sister hotel (Club 8), which requires an additional fee to access.⸻BarsThere were several bars available (pool, beach, and main bar), all offering a good range of drinks including cocktails, wine, and coffee. The staff here were friendly and efficient, and waiting times were minimal—even when the hotel got busier.⸻Restaurants & FoodAgain, the lack of explanation around à la carte bookings was frustrating. We managed to try the Italian and Tex-Mex restaurants:* The Italian was good during the day (pizza), but dinner was disappointing—our pasta dish was cold and undercooked.* The Tex-Mex was excellent and a highlight of the trip, especially being able to dine while watching evening entertainment. Staff were very accommodating (even providing blankets when it got cold). The buffet restaurant was average—more in line with a four-star standard. Food options were repetitive, especially at breakfast, and while not bad, it lacked the quality and variety expected from a five-star resort.⸻EntertainmentEvening entertainment was enjoyable and well-timed.However, daytime activities were limited. As a couple, we didn’t mind too much, but families may find the lack of kids’ activities disappointing. We only saw minimal daytime events like aqua aerobics and a bubble party.⸻Overall VerdictThere were definitely some positives—cleanliness, friendly staff, and good service in bars and pool areas. However, issues with room allocation, lack of clear communication, misleading marketing (pool images), and average food quality mean this hotel does not meet five-star expectations in our opinion. Sotiris Bilis, General Manager at Mitsis Faliraki, responded to this review Dear Holly, thank you very much for taking the time to share your personal experience with us!We are glad to see that you enjoyed your overall stay, however we regret that some aspects did not lift up to your expectations and the service we strive to provide to our valued guests.Regarding the room, we are happy that you felt comfortable regarding cleanliness and that you enjoyed our complimentary mini bar service. We are however sad to see that the view did not meet your expectations. As per your reservation, your booking was made for a Side Sea View Room rather than a Sea View Room. This room type offers a partial sea view from the side when standing on the balcony. Should you choose to visit us again in the future, please feel free to contact us directly during the booking process so we can gladly clarify the features of each room type.Furthermore, we are happy to read that you enjoyed our a la carte restaurants, however we regret that our Main restaurant did not meet your taste. It would have been our pleasure to explore further dining options during your stay as we always strive to create enjoyable memories for our guests. Our team is more than happy that you shared your concerns with us because this is our best tool to evolve and provide better services day by day. We want to continue being pioneers at Greek hospitality and your feedback is very helpful for us. Stay assured that we will share your constructive comments with our team in order to improve our services. We would be pleased to welcome you again in our Unique Destination in the future! Kind regards,Mitsis Faliraki Team

Amazing hotel - made by the amazing staff.

    rating27 Apr 2026

The hotel was perfect for families of all ages. Plenty for the kids & adults to do. The hotel also very helpful with sorting your transport to and from the airport as well as travelling to other parts of the island to explore. Food is also great. Many different restaurants all were lovely and plenty to choose from. Special mention has to go to Louisa Gunther. On this trip, I proposed to my now Fiancée. Louisa helped with everything from offering suggestions on the best locations in the island to watch a sunset with privacy. She also arranged the hotel to have blankets for the beach, food and champagne in picnic baskets. Once we got back to the hotel. She also had rose petals decorating our room with more champagne on ice waiting for us. I’d like to personally thank Louisa Gunther and the hotel staff for making that day and our whole holiday so special. A moment we will never forget. Sotiris Bilis, General Manager at Mitsis Faliraki, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share such a meaningful and heartfelt review. We’re truly delighted to know that your stay was so enjoyable for both adults and your kid, and that you were able to make the most of the facilities, dining options, and support from our team throughout your visit. It is especially touching to hear that such an important life moment took place during your stay.
