    This was my first solo holiday since my husband passed away, I think it was the best choice I could have made. I have mobility issues so asked for a ground floor room, which Maria was able to do. Thank you Maria. As it was so early in the season, and with my mobility issues and not knowing how much would be open I booked half-board. The food here is really good, everything is cooked to order i.e. not buffet style. The eggs at breakfast are delicious with golden yolks, I tried several different meals in the evening, my favourites were the lamb chops and the pastitsio. Watch out for how the kitchen lets Gianni know the food is ready 😀 It's a fun place to stay, the family are so friendly and very welcoming to solo travellers, although for the first 3 nights my daughter was with me. I went just to relax, but if you want to get out and about Maria can organise trips. Other guests were so friendly, the couple I sat next to on the plane were also staying there and were repeat visitors. My next door neighbour who moved in a few days after me, Barbara from Birkenhead, was in the same position as me and was an inspiration. Wally and Jill, also from Birkenhead, chatted to me in the restaurant/bar and it made my stay really enjoyable.

    The hotel is only a short journey from the airport so transfer was quick and easy. Even though we arrived late at night Giannis made sure to take the time to check us in and go through everything and made sure our room was suitable. It was spotless and had everything we needed, it was cleaned every day except Sunday. Maria and Giannis looked after us all week and were always checking things were good. My children had so much fun and Maria spoiled them with cake! The hotel is located perfectly to investigate areas in both directions. The local bus service gets you straight to Rhodes old town at a very reasonable price.There is a pool bar and in the evening the restaurant bar opens. Food and drink is well priced and we were always offered a little cake or something sweet free for the children after dinner. There is a little play park at the side of the restaurant, this kids used this a lot. Greek night was so much fun, definitely do this and get stuck in, it was a great atmosphere. There was a little noise from the road at night in the room the children had but we were so tired from exploring and swimming it really had no effect on us. There was a hotel itself is quiet, we were late sleepers so always missed breakfast but there was a bit fridge, kettle and hob in the room so we just did breakfast ourselves. There was a little kiosk shop over the road you could get most things or a supermarket about a 15 minute walk away. We had a very late flight when leaving but were lucky enough to be able to pay for a late check out at 6pm which was great so one more day exploring and pool time was lovely. Aircon was available but we didn’t need it.
