    We love this hotel so much and visit regularly. We always receive a warm welcome and are made to feel at home. The new chef produces excellent quality dishes and the cocktails are the best we’ve tasted. Rooms are extremely comfortable, the beds and towels are changed every day. The family are extremely kind and accommodating and always go the extra mile, whether you’re a first time visitor or a returner.

    We stay with Stavros and his family every year on our 1 week cycling holiday. The hotels location is perfect for us to explore the island and is very close to the airport. The food & hospitality is excellent and after visiting for several years now are never disappointed. Highly recommend this hotel & hard working family venue

    Lovely family run hotel, peace and quiet , very clean, good showers , clean bedding, good Breakfast buffet. Evening meal mediocre clean pool, three lovely friendly dogs

    This was my first foreign holiday in 17 years and I was travelling alone so I purposely chose this hotel because it was family owned and managed, it was small and it was within my budget. I had read all the mixed reviews, most of which were not good but I decided to wait and judge for myself. I'm so pleased that I did! The Rhodian Sun hotel is, admittedly, quite basic as a 3 start listing. "Basic" meaning that there's no kids club, no booming nightly disco, no drunken stag or hen parties and so nobody being sick or urinating outside in the early hours! What you do get is a warm welcome, a spotlessly clean and comfortable room, peace and quiet, (with the exception of Tuesday night as that is Greek night!) home cooked authentic Greek dishes from either the daily fixed menu or alternative menu if you have other dietary requirements. The whole family are involved in every aspect of the hotel. Some of the reviews that I have read have made me wonder whether these people have actually stayed at this hotel. Most of the guests, and NOT just British, return year after year so I think this speaks for itself! The owners are gradually updating some of their facilities so the rooms now have lovely new wetrooms and showers. The public areas are again spotlessly clean and comfortable with a few games tables and books that you can read, return and swap. Please don't expect 5 star luxury because it is definitely not but what it does have is a 5 star welcome and personal service, you are not just a guest, you are treated as a FRIEND! I'm definitely hoping to get back next year as I loved it.

    Dirty Room and Cockroaches – Never Again!

    The room was extremely dirty and poorly maintained. To make things worse, I even found a cockroach in the bathroom. Very disappointing experience, I would not recommend this hotel.
