Location

This charming eco hotel is tucked away at the highest point of the medieval town on a quiet cobbled street only minutes’ walk from the Souleiman Mosque, Grand Masters Palace, and numerous shops, bars and restaurants. The beach is a 20-minute walk and the historical hotel provides an ideal location for guests to explore the medieval town and island. Rhodes Acropolis is approximately 5 km from the city hotel and Valley of the Butterflies is around 23 km away. Diagoras airport is approximately 17 km away.

Facility

6 non-smoking rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience.     Wonderful stay!

    We had a wonderful stay here. Elena, Theodore and the team were incredible. From the initial communication to the transfers back to the airport. The hotel is charming and fits the Rhodes experience. The decor was amazing. It is in a great location with many restaurants and taverns close. They provided recommendations for incredible food. They even took great care of us for an early departure, which was very much appreciated. Highly recommend this gem!

    We’ve just returned from a week’s stay at this delightful hotel and can’t imagine there’s anywhere better in Rhodes. We had comfortable accommodation, excellent breakfasts and people who couldn’t do more to make us feel at home. Every request was answered with warmth and knowledge. The lady who does the housekeeping worked very hard and our room was spotless every day with a fresh set of towels provided. The aircon was efficient and the bedding luxurious. We really weren’t prepared for the amazing location. We imagined we’d be in a side street but found ourselves down a cobbled alley which made for a very quiet stay. We felt extremely safe the whole time. Transfers and car hire were arranged for us by the hotel and couldn’t have been done more efficiently.

    A relaxing, friendly base in Rhodes Old Town

    We returned to the Spirit of the Knights 12 years after our first visit here and were delighted to find that the hotel has changed very little in that time. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with very comfortable beds, and the hotel itself is perfectly situated in the alleyways of the Old Town. The building has been thoughtfully restored, and has attractive public areas inside and out. Breakfast was as lovely as we remembered, with a great choice of freshly cooked food available if required, although we stuck with the fresh fruit, yoghurt and honey and the gorgeous bread. Both Elena and Theodore were very helpful with transfers, local info and restaurant reservations.Rhodes Town is well worth a few days of anybody’s time, with some interesting attractions and lots of very well fed cats! If we return to Rhodes we really must try and see a bit more of the island, but it’s quite hard to drag oneself away from the laid back atmosphere of the Old Town Streets!Thank you, Elena and Theodore, for another very enjoyable stay - we hope to see you again sometime.

    Excellent and historic house to stay in Rhodos old city

    Charming historic small (6rooms) hotel in the old city of Rhodos. Lovely garden, very comfortable lobby/breakfast area, and awesome upstairs library. Theodore was a kind and gracious host. Breakfasts were delicious! Rooms were comfortable and spacious with antique furniture and accents. Each room/suite is quite different from the others. One room even has a steam bath (hammam!). Theodore met us at a city gate in an electric buggy to get us and our luggage through the tiny lanes to get to the hotel. Staying inside the old city is delightful!

    This hotel is an absolute gem. The location is one of its best assets, as it is close to everything yet is quiet and tucked away. The room was unique and adorable with a large comfortable bed. But the best part was the breakfast. We have been travelling for 6 weeks and have had fantastic breakfasts but this was hands down the best. Everything is to order and the highest quality. The staff and includes the owner so you know the standards are high, and getting picked up from the port in a golf buggy (at no cost) was also another fun highlight. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
