  We stayed at Stegna Star Apartments as a family of four and were very satisfied. The rooms were clean, with daily change of sheets and towels (except Sunday), and quite spacious for a family. We had everything we needed: air conditioning with no extra charge, a balcony, small kitchen, and a fridge.The location is perfect – literally across the street from the sea, less than two minutes from the room. Sunbeds were available on the beach with a small charge.The restaurant shown in some photos is unfortunately no longer open, but the space remains as a bar, serving great coffee and drinks.Mrs. Katerina and her daughter Kyroula were very friendly and helpful, always welcoming with a smile.The only small downside is that the air conditioning could have been a bit stronger or available in both rooms, as it wasn’t powerful enough to cool the whole apartment.Overall, we would definitely stay here again without hesitation and recommend it especially for families looking for peaceful and enjoyable holidays by the sea. 🌊☀️

  Very chilled and pretty location, good value rooms clean and a decent size but slightly tired

  Great value, great pretty location very chilled right by the beach, we went end of October and had lovely weather and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are a decent size and the self catering is basic but good and clean. Katarina runs it very well and looked after us.There are a few things to consider :- Public transport is poor at Stegna as the bus route is at Archangelos (40min walk) so you either stay put, or hire a car of moped (available locally and not expensive)- Don't book breakfast, eat out or in your room (you have a fridge and table)- It's a quiet spot so the nightlife is somewhat limited- The apartments are a little worn and you pay extra for air conditioning as it's expensive (but you don't need it in October)

  Good hotel but with minuses!

  The location is lovely and idyllic,close to the beach. The problem we had during our stay was that everything had to be paid cash and it was not possible to pay with card, and we had to pay immediately for everything for instance air condition, even though we later found out that our travel agency paid directly to the hotel,and the prices varied from guest to guest.

  Simple, fully equipped, clean accommodation. Perfect place, nearly on the beach. Very kind, supporting Katarina with all her team made our stay there very nice. Restaurants just on the street, same as small shops, car rental, boat rental.. all you need. Very nice trips and walks around the area, hills, rocks.We spent there very nice holiday there! Thank you, Katarina!

  Wonderful, non-commercial week with lovely staff, and ideal holiday apartment

  With Katarina and other staff on-site at all times, it was easy to ask them any questions in person. From the very start they were warm, checked up on us, and offered help with our plans for the week. It couldn't have been easier to get to the beach, literally 50 metres away. The beach is spacious, unspoilt and blissful. The apartment was spacious and sheets and towels were cleaned often. Katarina was the highlight of the week, she genuinely wanted us to have a good time and we had great chats! We learned that the apartments, and also the family-run restaurants by the beach, are quite unique in Rhodes and even Greece, which is becoming increasingly commercialised. The staff in restaurants and shops were often up for a chat, and proud to tell us of Stegna's authentic character! We specifically loved To Kyma for delicious salads, sea food and delightful staff.As young people who can't drive, it was a serene, laid-back place (we couldn't get to any nightlife or other towns, because of expensive taxi's, and the fact that busses don't come down to Stegna) - but it seemed perfect for couples and young families. This made it feel non-touristy and authentic. In terms of budgeting extra costs, I would bear in mind that these are not luxury apartments. We had a great time without very good wifi, and without turning on the Air-con, for which you have to pay 80 euros.
