This hotel is located on the north coast of Samos Island, near the village of Kokkari and only 600 m from 2 of the island's most stunning beaches, Lemonakia and Tsamadou, whose wonderful sparkling waters are perfect for all kinds of sports. It lies 10 km from Samos town and 25 km from the airport.

    Good value hotel In Samos

    We stayed in early September 2026 and at that time the majority of the guests staying where German and a few English, French and Dutch. Although the Hotel is situated up a very steep windy road there is a makeshift path to walk down to the coastal road which is much quicker just make sure you got some good shoes on. The rooms are quite basic and a little dated but are kept spotless. We didn't experience any noise issues and I suspect this is because the majority of the guests are 50 plus. Overall the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area and bar are a definite plus. Although this hotel is half board drinks including water are extra and charged to the room. Weirdly and quite annoying was the bill left in our room 24 hours before departure demanding we pay our bill in full by 9pm the day before checking out not sure why, this is not the norm in any 4* ive ever stayed in but this hotel is not 4* more like a good three star. The food was pretty good especially when you factor in how reasonable this hotel is . There was a reasonable choice for breakfast and dinner with the majority self serve buffet style.

    It was really good, with a swimming pool and a really nice breakfast. The reason you don’t get the last star is because of the Wi-Fi. It said that Wi-Fi was available, but unfortunately, it didn’t work. Other than that, my experience was really good!

    Awful hotel, like Pontins

    Hotel looks great from outside, grounds and pool area very nicely kept. However the room we stayed in was the most unattractive, dismal, old fashioned I have ever stayed in. The bathroom had mould, broken window and toilet seat. Hairdryer from out of the arc with a long hose on it. The breakfast is awful, only catered for the Germans. Wifi signal low, had to wait to upload these photos.

    What an incredibly fantastic hotel!Arion Hotel is on a hilltop with fantastic views of the port town of Kokkari and the surrounding hills. It has 108 rooms, in 8 separate buildings spread across well maintained gardens. The main building has a lift as there are three floors, whereas the other buildings only have two floors. On our visit there was only three British couples; most of the guests are Dutch, German or Nordic. This hotel tends to attract older guests.The rooms are a good size and very functional.We had a ground floor room, 109, in the main building as my wife had a recent hip operation and her mobility was limited.Every member of staff was fantastic; friendly, very professional and engaging. The cleaner worked very hard and we had a change of towels and the room was cleaned every dayThe air con was “free” but for a safe key it was €2 a day! (my only gripe).Breakfast had a large selection of fruits, cereals, cheeses, meats, cakes, bread et al, as well as an egg station making omelettes and fried eggs which was very popular. It would be useful to label all the food as it was confusing to me as a vegetarian what I could and could not eat.The pool was very clean and was a refreshing cool down from sunbathing. Plenty of sunlounges, even at midday. Towels cost €5 to hire for the week and €5 deposit per towel per week. These you can change every day and at the end you get your €5 deposit per towel.There are two shifts in the bar and both teams are very friendly and work incredibly hard. I recommend the Greek Salad and Tuna Baguette; both very filling. The bar is cashless, so you either have a “tab” or pay by card.The pool side toilets are very clean.Getting into TownFirstly there are only four operating taxis in Kokkari; we only ever had to walk back once as we waited for over 25 mins. Reception can order you a taxi and it is €7 per couple, so if you share it is still €7, but the driver gets €14. The taxi wait is not very long, apart from that one time.To walk down the hill there is a track running from the pool down to the bottom of the main road. My wife has mobility issues and she made the trip down the track at least 5 times.
