  Beautiful location & great service

  02 Jul 2015

The room was a spacious apartment (living room, kitchen etc.) with a large veranda. The sea view was fantastic! Good value for money. Excellent service (quick booking, thorough cleaning, traditional local food including fresh fish) with friendly and very conscientious staff. I would recommend it to my friends and I look forward to spending my future vacations there.

  Not impressed

  30 Jun 2015

Only stayed for one night. Room wasn't ready & full of flies.Managed to kill our get the flies out of the patio window.Several mosquitoes killed in the lounge, another 6 in the bathroom. After a nice, quiet meal at the taverna at the other end of the beach. Only to find a large cockroach in the room. Another smaller one in the room in the morning, the receptionist didn't seem bothered.I hope that we were just unlucky as we have always loved the beach for day trips.

Great relaxing holidays at the best location of Samos

  30 Jun 2015

Ideal for relaxing holidays in one of the best natural settings of Samos! Great for outdoor activities too (mountain & sea). All rooms have sea views. Best value for money in relation to the other island accommodation. Excellent Greek restaurant and very clean rooms. Great service overall, with friendly and helpful staff.

  Nereides Bliss

  24 Sept 2011

Booked direct with owner instead of through e.bookers, same price - 400 euros, but wanted a top floor large apartment and this is what we got. Arrived on Sept 15th 2011 for one week and were very impressed with the apartment and the massive balcony with table and 4 chairs and a wonderful view across the bay. Paced out the dimensions of the balcony as approx 5 metres by 8. More than adequate, and gave the apartment significant outdoor space to enjoy the view from, without feeling at all cooped up.Beds comfortable in separate bedroom and very quiet at night. Thank goodness no music from bars at night. There's nothing worse than trying to get to sleep while others are enjoying themselves in a raucous manner. Aircon worked as it was 37 degrees by day and not much cooler at night! The kitchen area was fine with fridge and mini cooker - grill and 2 hot plates. Bathroom very clean and shower over bath worked very well. If choosing top floor there are 53 steps to climb, not a simple exercise in the excessive heat with 20 kg suitcases, so beware if you are not strong and fit! No complaints at all, lovely situation, very peaceful and just couples. The only gripe I would make is that we were charged 5 euros for the use of sunbeds and umbrella below the apartments - collected by one of the waiters each day, I would have thought that after paying 400 euros rental these would have been included, but there again they are probably struggling with their country's debt problems at the moment, or whatever. The beach is lovely with a super restaurant at the far end and another good one just a few yards up the hill on the way to the Tavern at the End of the World. The atmosphere in the Nereides restaurant itself is not as good as the other 2 restaurants we frequented but the food was alright. Cheaper and nicer at the others though. Nereides caught their own fish daily just below the restaurant so fish lovers would relish this. The mini market which is up the hill opposite the Ioanna Studios on the road down into Limnionas Bay is OK if you only need water or crisps, or all manner of dried goods, but not even bread or rolls!. We drove to Votsalakia (approx 5km) for a decent shop for bread, wine, eggs etc. This is the nearest ATM also. This is where we booked a boat trip through the Rhenia Tours office there to an island for bar-b-que lunch and swim from boat, good value and a super day for 35 euros each, even saw a pod of dolphins, 7 hour trip - very good.If you want a secluded setting right on the beach, part sand and shingle, this is the place for a do-nothing retreat. Bring jelly shoes as there are some rocks in the water, but there are just gentle waves with crystal clear water.
