  Good place - clean, convenient and close to beach and shops.

  There are two 'Pavlis studios' in Marathokampou. One is at Ormos, just above an attractive harbour and shown in this photograph from Trip Advisor. I did not stay there! I stayed at the better located Pavlis Studios 4 miles down the road in Kampos. Better because it across the road from the beach - and at the same level. Better because there are restaurants, supermarkets, a bakery and gift tourist shops within easy walking distance (like 3 minutes). The apartments were well maintained, clean and quite modern. Mine had a shower, toilet and wash basin in the bathroom, a double bed and a tiny kitchenette with a hob (never used) and a fridge. The room was serviced every other day. Outside was a balcony with a table and chairs. Inside a wardrobe for hanging clothes, a desk with a chair and other useful shelves for storing things. Perfectly large enough - with good air conditioning and insect repellent protection on the windows and patio doors. The crockery and cutlery looked like cast offs bought in a jumble sale and there was no wine glass - but an assortment of other glasses - non matching. This is a point to be improved - it just let the place down a bit. A kettle was provided - but no toaster. There was wi-fi but it was poor and slow - my apartment was Number 8. The gardens surrounding the apartments were lovely - full of colour - and the swimming pool with a bar (closed at 6pm) and sun loungers was gorgeous. Car parking at the front was free. I stayed 7 nights and only paid 372 euros in September. The location was perfect - you could be on the beach in two minutes. The welcome was friendly and I was even given a complimentary glass of wine! I liked the place - but do make sure you book the right Pavlis studios. You want Pavlis Stuidos, Kampos - although I am sure Pavlis Studios, Ormos is also good.

  Excellent views from lovely studios overlooking Ormos & the sea

  A lovely set of studios with a pool. We stayed for 3 nights in a room on the 1st floor overlooking the pool. There were lovely views over the harbour, the sea & out to Samipoula island. Filio was a lovely host & her son did the cleaning. Rooms and pool area were kept clean & tidy. We were provided with a bottle of water upon arrval and there was a hair dryer & kettle in the room with a fuly provided kitchen area. No breakfast provided but a supermarket & a bakery were located in the village 5 minutes away, down steps to the harbour front, from the road outside the hotel. Would certainly look to stay here again if in the area.

  Beautifully made apartments on a great spot

  Ormos is a picturesque place and those apartments are at the best spot, with an unlimited view to the whole Ormos and the sea!Very carefully cleaned daily which is a huge plus.The pool is awesome! Very very beautiful, with the breathtaking view and with perfect depths.Filio, the owner, is the best person! Warm hearted, kind, pleasant and helpful with great knowledge of Samos and her beauties!

  Got a late deal with Sunvil last Wednesday and 24 hours later ,we were at Pavlis studios in Ormos .Traditional Greek place ,quite big with all you need for a self catering holiday.We had room 8 with the patio door opening up to a big swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas ,overlooking the the bay of Marathokampos with the the boats ,the clear blue sea flanked by the mountain Kerkis.One can also see the island of Samiopoula in the distant from the studio.Well something one does not see these days is a Welcome pack which was there in the studio for us ,consisting of a bottle of water,a bottle of wine .a carton of orange juice as well as one of milk,sugar,tea,coffee ,a loaf of bread and a packet of biscuits.Warm welcome from Mr.Pavlis and a gem of a place.Would recommend this place for a quiet holiday with all facilities one need like restaurants ,shops nearby.

  Good apartment with great views

  Got a late deal for last week July. The studio apartment (No 1) had all we needed for our stay as we eat out except for breakfast. The studio did face the road but still has great views across the town as well as the harbour. Air con worked well and we had no problem sleeping. The pool was large with plenty of sun beds, however it needs more sun shade/umbrellas. They have the structures in place for sun shades but only two were covered. A short walk from the studios is the harbour with half a dozen tavernas one supermarket and a good bakery. The beach was disappointing, but as others have said there are a couple of near by beaches which were fine. We hired a car for 4 days and liked Lemonas beach approx 25mins drive. Overall I would recommend these studios and would likely return.
