  Nice location - but nothing more!

  Unfortunately, I have to say that our stay in this apartment was anything but satisfactory. The location was quiet and the surroundings were beautiful, but those were the only positive points.When we arrived, it was already a challenge to reach the apartment with two suitcases, as it was only accessible via narrow, winding stairs. The almost black stone floor gave the entire room a gloomy and oppressive impression. The living-kitchen area was completely lacking basic amenities such as a table and chairs, which made enjoying a home-cooked breakfast almost impossible.The terrace outside the apartment was there, but without any sun protection. The direct sunlight made it impossible to have a halfway pleasant breakfast there either. We had not booked the breakfast offered by the house and therefore did not take advantage of it.When we checked in, there was a heated discussion with the extremely unfriendly owner about the additional costs for the air conditioning. According to the catalog description, the use of the air conditioning was included. Despite paying, the air conditioning did not work properly. It felt like an eternity before cool air flowed into the room properly. The cleaning staff then turned off the air conditioning, so I only used the timer function and hid the remote control.The room was cleaned six days a week, which was fine, but when we moved in we had to do our own cleaning to remove the remains of a previous guest in the shower.The bathroom was in a desolate state, with a yellowed, wobbly toilet seat, rusty fittings and a loose shower rod and shower curtain. The fact that the bathroom door did not close and had to be fitted with improvised latches shows that it is in serious need of renovation.All in all, the stay in this apartment was a disappointment and I unfortunately cannot recommend it.   In love with the hotel!

  This is a very charming and cozy hotel with an incredibly warm and welcoming staff. This small hotel is located just a few minute walk from Kokkari away from the noise and people but very close to the beach.The room is very cozy, looks recently updated and very clean and comfortable. It's not a big room but it has exactly everything one could possibly need to be comfortable. The room is cleaned every day and the towels and bedsheets are changed every other day. The shower has the most amazing water pressure and good ventilation. What is not mentioned when you book the hotel is that if you want to use the air conditioner you should be prepared to pay 6 eur per night for it. You can also just open the balcony doors at night without anything flying into your room as there is a screen door to the balcony. We preferred to have air-conditioning on during the night because it was just too hot to sleep. The WiFi has a strong signal and works everywhere in the hotel ;)The breakfast was very simple but enough to start the day. We were offered a small buffet with some bread, cheese and ham, Greek yoghurt and some jelly and honey. From time to time there were boiled eggs and pieces of lemon muffin offered. Coffee was really great and served to the table. The whole week stay I felt very comfortable and welcome in the hotel. I am very happy with my choice and when I come back to Kokkari I will definitely book this hotel again and I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to visit Kokkari.
