    I HAVE BEEN ROBBED $1300 IN THIS HOTEL BY THE CLEANERS

    I stayed at Dedeman Bostanci Istanbul Hotel & Convention Center for one week in February 2026, and my experience was absolutely devastating.On the last day of my stay, $1300 was taken from my wallet after housekeeping had entered my room. I am a waiter from overseas, and that money was my last savings — the money I had worked extremely hard for. Losing it was not just inconvenient; it was financially and emotionally crushing.I immediately reported the incident to hotel management, including the director. Instead of taking the situation seriously, I was treated dismissively and spoken to rudely. There was no genuine effort to properly investigate or support me. I felt completely ignored and disrespected.I even went to the police station and filed an official complaint. Still, nothing changed. No accountability. No meaningful follow-up. No responsibility taken.For a hotel that advertises itself as a 5-star property, the way Dedeman Bostanci Istanbul Hotel & Convention Center handled this situation is unacceptable. A hotel of this level should protect its guests and treat them with dignity — especially in serious matters like this.To anyone considering staying here: please DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER COMING HERE. What happened to me happened on the last day of my stay, when I least expected it. Based on my experience, I would never return and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone..

    I really enjoyed my stay at Dedeman, the room was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful especially Kerem. The location is great as there are convenience stores nearby and taxis nearby that will collect you from the hotel.     I stayed at this hotel from November 20th on the 11th floor. The staff were very polite and professional, and the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. There was a lady in charge of cleaning our room who did her job exceptionally well. When we returned to our room, everything was perfectly organized and spotless.     Disappointing Experience – Poor Service, Lacks Empathy

    The hotel promises a “celebrity treatment”, but the service falls far short of that claim. The staff appeared disinterested and unmotivated, and it felt as though Dedeman’s main focus is maximising profits rather than providing genuine customer care.I stayed with my 3-year-old daughter and requested an early check-in. I understand it’s subject to availability, but what was most disappointing was the lack of empathy. My daughter was unwell, and despite explaining this, the staff showed no effort to prioritise or even acknowledge our situation. Meanwhile, I noticed other guests being checked in early.We arrived around 6 a.m. and there was no clear information about the hotel or its facilities. The night staff were particularly unprofessional — even speaking about guests in front of them, which was shocking. It seems management is struggling to maintain the standard expected from a 5-star property.When we returned around midday, one front desk staff member was kind enough to assign us a room while we waited — this was the only positive part of our experience. Unfortunately, the room itself was dated and had multiple issues: the sink tap handle kept falling off, the shower pressure was poor, and housekeeping failed to clean the room one of the days.Having visited Istanbul over 35 times, this was one of the most disappointing stays I’ve had. I only booked Dedeman Bostancı due to limited time and proximity to Sabiha Gökçen Airport, but it was not value for money.I’ve promised myself never to stay in non-international chains again. The best global hotels understand that success comes from customer service, not cutting corners on time and care. Dedeman has a long way to go to live up to its 5-star rating.
