    We went here as a family of 4 and it was lovely , very close to the beach , shops, bars and restaurants . there were quite a few very nice relaxing pools and they were not busy at all when we stayed. The room was cool, spacious and very clean , we also had a beautiful outside area overlooking the pool. The two shops next to the hotel were very useful and well stocked . The staff were all very kind and efficient, they even delivered plates of food to our room when we stayed out late one night !! The food was delicious and we found that there was a wide range. Super relaxing vibe but we found that there was lots to do in the local area and the reception staff gave us lots of advice on what to do as well. We hired a car and used the car park opposite the hotel to explore the island . Oia and Fira were both beautiful . Would 100% recommend staying here !!

    Beautiful island. Lovely hotel. Breakfast was ample. Pools and Sunbeds were always available. Great location for the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend. Easy bus rides to wherever you want to go oia was absolutely beautiful. Would definitely return. Staff at the hotel were absolutely brilliant anything you need was seen to immediately.

    Having read some of these reviews I was a bit concerned about having to get up early for sunbeds. I shouldn't have worried. With four pools there was plenty of space I arrived om the 28th August left on 11th September. 2 weeks. I was going down generally at 9:30 am and if the main pool was busy as often or not it wasn't I walked to few steps to another pool with large thick beds so comfy. This was a more of a cooling off pool but still deep enough to swim in, a little further was a good sized pool deep with lots of beds empty. The hotel was clean, rooms cleaned everyday. Staff worked hard and were very friendly. Not cheap for a beer 6 euros. So I went to the market and bout large bottles of Mythos 2:50 euros Hotel is ideally placed a short walk to the beach no matter which exit you took at the front or the back, The ample restaurants along the beach were great and the karaoke bar the Love Boat was great fun. I found the breakfast to be good , Greek continental or a full English. I would certainly recommend this hotel and Kamari to Friends and family. We had a great time here at the Aegean Plaza

    This is the first time we have been to Santorini. Its a lovely island. This hotel is small but adequate. We were b&b thank god. The only thing that lets this place down is the Breakfast. The restaurant is too small. Mamy a time people are told to come back as its full. The food is a buffet, not much choice and the same every day. No omette man here, just scrambled. The coffee machine is next to the one toaster so you can imagine the queues. Im glad we didnt go full board as 5 min walk is the strip with dozens of food and drink places. 4 pools here, there is no 6am fight for sunbeds. Rooms are ok,.balconies small. Supermarker Vagelis by the back pool is nice for coffee and snacks.

    Aegean Plaza Hotel - Great overall

    My wife and I arrived at the Aegean Plaza Hotel in Kamari after midnight on the 1st of September for one week’s holiday. We were greeted by a lovely young man at reception who explained the process of holiday tax, complementary towels & bottles of water in the mini fridge (1st day only). He ran through some of the excursions that were available and recommended two of them. We booked both of them later on in the week, both were a bit pricey but were well worth it (catamaran cruise & bus tour) He then arranged for a man to carry our suitcases to our room as there were a few steps to navigate. We thought the architecture of the hotel coupled with the beautiful plants and trees made it an idyllic and pleasant location. The main pool wasn’t very big but was never over crowded while we were there. There was a small bar area out looking over the swimming pool and sun lounger area. Our room was on the ground floor; it was very spacious with modern furniture and decorated to a high standard. Room was fitted with air conditioning unit, mini fridge, free WIFI & free safe and a small kettle with complementary coffee and tea. The beds were comfortable and we had two pillows per bed. The bathroom was a decent size and the stand-in shower was one of the best we’ve have used over many years of travelling. However, my wife did mention that the hairdryer wasn’t very good and that the breeze outside would dry her hair faster. The gym has limited range of cardio & resistance machines and some loose weights. All the equipment was high quality and there was enough to keep yourself in shape should you wish to do this while on holiday. We were half board and found the buffet to be at a very good standard with various quality options to choose for at breakfast and in the evenings. I have to complement all the staff from reception, waitresses, bar, maid service and cleaners who provided exceptional service and were ever so helpful, friendly, polite and engaging. There is a supermarket outside the hotel which was well stocked with everything that you might need. There was some noise from the airplanes as the hotel is quite close to the flight paths, however it didn’t disturb our sleep. The hotel was only a few minutes’ walk to the beach. The beach was very pebbly with black volcanic sand so would recommend wearing beach shoes if you spend a fair bit of time on the beach. There is a main stretch of shops and tavernas running adjacent to the beach with many places to eat and drink and there was a nice atmospheric feel on a night time. The restaurant/tavernas meet & greet guys keep trying to lure you in all the time but don’t let this put you off. On another positive note I had no mosquito bites on holiday at all and when I spoke to one of the guys on reception, he told me that they were very rare on the island. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely return to Kamari and the Aegean Plaza hotel in the future.
