Location

The hotel lies is the Karterados area just 800 m from the centre of Fira. It is 3 km to the airport and Athinios' harbour is 12 km away. It is just 10 minutes to pebble Kamari beach by making use of public transport.

    We had a wonderful stay at Albatros Hotel in Karterados, Santorini! The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay special. Special thanks to Bana & Maria!!The breakfast buffet was delicious and the pool area was relaxing and very beautifully decorated.The location was perfect for exploring the village and accessing the beaches and attractions of Santorini. We highly recommend Albatros Hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful island!

    Great holiday in a good hotel

    The hotel is well located, 2 minutes from the bus stop and 15 minutes walk from Fira, the capital. Nice, clean hotel, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and air conditioning.The pool and its surroundings are a real relaxation area, where we often rested after swimming. The staff is friendly, especially the two receptionists Maria and Bana. Every day they were interested in our programmes and were happy to answer our questions. Their attitude made the place feel like a family. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. We were completely satisfied, would love to come back again. We would recommend it to everyone.

    Great experience from start to finish! They arranged taxis, and helped us with bus and restaurant info. The room was bright, clean, and very comfortable. All of the staff were so friendly. We especially loved Bana at the front desk. The price was very affordable for budget travelers. We would definitely stay again.

    Had no problems at all. Hotel is incredibly clean. Staff super friendly. (Especially young girl on reception 😘). Even got greeted when we came back to the hotel at 22.30/23.00. Breakfast was included. Great variety of foods. Twenty min walk to the bus station or €1.30 on the bus. Means it’s a quiet location near a couple of restaurant and supermarkets. Didn’t use the pool but looked lovely.

    We arrived during the day and the daytime receptionist (gray hair) is not very friendly, not warm, seemed very annoyed if you asked her anything. The evening receptionist is super nice, warm, always smiling. I was so happy to see someone different at night. Our room was the first one off reception (room 201). It was two twin beds pushed together. I did ask if there were rooms with one double bed and told no. Then I was told they were all on the first floor. I would have gladly paid for the upgrade, but the day time receptionist got pretty rude about all of it and didn't entertain the idea of a different room. Keep in mind we saw only one other couple at the hotel the entire stay, it's low season now. The pool was dirty but then we noticed they drained it two days later - end of season.The room was clean, except for the glass in the bathroom. The shower was so darn tiny. That would have been fine if they had a shower curtain that worked. The 2 foot by 2 foot shower had a shower curtain that was too short and the curtain stuck to you the entire shower. The entire bathroom floor was wet after you showered. We just couldn't use the bathroom after showering and it was gross to shower with a curtain stuck to your body.Our view was another building out the balcony and air conditioning units.Internet was good because we were literally 5 feet from the reception area. I would choose another hotel, but this was part of a tour so we didn't have much of a choice.
