  Great hotel, but a bit too noisy

  Pros:- great location: right on the Kamari promenade, everything you'd want is easily and quickly accessible, from stores, through restaurants to bars.- pool & beach access: the beach beds are available for free and only for the guests of the hotel - this is something they also enforce so you needn't worry about sunbed shortage. If the waves are too strong or you'd just prefer something else, they also have a spacious pool (something most but not all hotels have on the promande).- poolside bar: great prices and good selection as well. The cocktails were awesome.- breakfast: nothing special, but good overall, no complaints. Enough variety and they sometimes rotated some of the stuff like cakes or omelette/quiche. - staff: you probably have or will read about the staff elsewhere, but it's worth confirming that indeed they are very friendly :)- clean: this is basic but it never hurts to mention it.Cons:- close to the airport: the hotel is near the airport-side end of the promenade so planes are flying *very* low already, almost directly above the beach/hotel. There are a few busier hours so if you want to go to sleep early (around 9-10pm) or prefer a quiet beach, this might bother you.- noisy: the walls are thin and the doors offer little to zero soundproofing. The doors can also only be closed very loudly, you can hear the neighbors fiddling with the keys (seriously, how can keys be so loud?) and if you are unlucky with neighbors who are not at all concerned about the sleeping schedule of others, you better like earplugs. We were up until 1-1:30am waiting for them to finally turn down their volume (music and otherwise).- somehow tiny: the room looks spacious but everything felt tiny. I'm not a giant by any means, barely above average and the bed was already too short for me. The bathroom also felt cramped. Overall good value and while there were hiccups here and there, we're very satisfied with our stay. Keep it up Arion Bay (and please invest in better doors)!

  Fantastic location, only 10 minutes from airport. Great amenities. Excellent breakfast included. Right on top of beach with private sun beds included. Staff were excellent and very welcoming. Rooms were very clean with beach towels provided

  Great hotel. We stayed a week in room 11b overlooking pool and beach, cannot rate highly enough. Eleni is an amazing young lady and compliments her dad the legend Elias at the bar in the evenings. You can not go wrong staying at the Arian Bay Hotel, the whole team are amazing. We will be back. Love Michele & Keith xx

  We loved staying at Arion Bay. Right from the start of booking, the communication was excellent and when I wanted to make changes or had a query, they couldn't be more helpful.As the hotel is relatively small, there was a real personal touch and every one of the staff members were friendly and welcoming. The owner Elias, held court every night at the bar which drew guests together for a fun evening.The breakfast was great and the pool was clean and inviting. We had room 6 at the front of the hotel which had a terrace and sea view.

  We found this little gem of a place in the centre of Kamari (Santorini) it was perfect from beginning to end. We booked direct and paid on arrival, prior to this we found the team great at emailing us any questions we had about the room / location / venue and so we were very confident of getting what we booked and we were not disappointed at all. Staff - first class service and excellent communications and offer of help always available, they provided a taxi transfer to / from the airport and always ready to meet your needs with a friendly smile, you will be an extended member of the family from when you arrive to when you leave. Location - on a flat beach front location in the flat town of kamari, pool / beach / restaurants / car hire / ATM's / pharmacy / shops / supermarkets all within approx 10-20 mins on promenade / paving area. Free use of beach beds at Arion Bay and at this time of year any other beach beds were also free if you want to explore further afield (general rule is buy a drink and the beds are free wherever you go in Santorini. Taxi's / local bus (coach) service to the rets of the island / car hire (recommended) from Motorinn (located at the other end of kamari - 15 mins stroll) local boat service every 30 mins from Kamari to Perisa bay (6 euros each). Lovely just to walk about and admire the views. Equally only a 20 -30 min will get you to either end of Santorini for the stunning views, but nice to return to Kamari for beach and chill out. Rooms - 2 storey rooms, some with steps, we had a ground floor balcony with sea / pool view within 5-10 metres away. They consisted of a lounge area / dressing table / large double bed / wardrobe (hangers and safety box all free) bathroom with shower WC & sink all cleaned every day and changed linen & towels if you wanted. Free beach towels also provided for the stay. AC unit in the room including a fridge and if you wanted anything else you only needed to ask Ilias and his team and they will help you. Hotel - small boutique style offering B&B to suit all tastes, you could eat breakfast next to the bar or the pool, or have on your own balcony / terrace area. The bar was open all day and a lovely place to sit and unwind with Ilias providing you first class information and advice to aid your day. All in all a first class hotel / staff providing the very best Santorini has to offer, you won't be disappointed at all. This is one of those lovely places we will be returning too without fail.
