    Electrical and plumbing need upgrade.

    rating31 Oct 2025

This hotel needs an update of electrical and plumbing systems. The outlets didn’t work, no lights in the steam shower which also does not work. Needs a renovation. The lights need to all be on or all off, which is difficult in the middle of the night if you need to use the bathroom. Bathtub is in middle of the room, toilet behind a clear glass door. The whole room just felt dangerous and uncomfortable.

    Terrible don’t stay here.

    rating17 Oct 2025

Skip this hotel! Go and check out the view but do not stay here. You can’t drink the water from the faucet but they don’t tell you. Our guide told us on the bus. They don’t have a sign saying don’t drink this and they don’t offer large bottles of water and you have to call reception. Don’t know who the electrician was but he should be fired or he is at home laughing at the tourists trying to figure out the light switches and what turn what on. It was horrible. The hotel staff did not give any instructions and again there are no signs. And there is no WiFi in the rooms. Only thing that was good was that it was close to the restaurant Valaora.

Do not stay at Nafplio Palace, it’s a complete rip off.

    rating17 Jun 2025

Rated as a 5 star hotel. We paid £1,877 for 2 nights and couldn’t wait to leave. Certainly not a 5 star experience. Half of the resort was closed despite it being advertised as fully open with luxury accommodation and amenities. The whole place seemed deserted. It was poorly maintained, outdated and neglected. Very few things actually worked. Everything at breakfast looked like it had been there for days, we skipped breakfast. The lift going through the hillside to take you down to the old town was broken, vandalised, covered in graffiti and smelled of urine, having used the lift once I would not use it again and paid for taxi’s to and from the old town. The fact that the hotel think it acceptable for guests to use that lift is utterly disgraceful. This would have once been a fabulous hotel, the views are amazing and it is so sad to see it now in its neglected state. Please do not stay at this hotel, you will regret it and instead stay in one of the lovely boutique hotels in the old town for a fraction of the price.

ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS IN THIS PART OF GREECE

    rating12 May 2025

This was the seventh (and last) of our hotels in our 14 day tour around the Mani. We had 3 nights booked as a final relaxation in a much loved town.Considering that this hotel might regard itself as the premier hotel in Naflion it was a bit of a disappointment. Only half was open (early season) and this was showing signs of wear in places. The other half was firmly shut and no one seemed to know when (if) it would open.Having said that, the location was fantastic (high up over the town with amazing views), the rooms excellent (but a bit worn), the service superb and a very good restaurant.

    Great views...

    rating01 Nov 2024

Went for one night to Nafplio and chose this hotel due to the location and proximity to the old castle. (at least it looks like that, despite having to walk 10 min to get to the entrance and climb 850+ steps to get up there). The hotel was easy to find using google maps. As you arrive its not clear where you should stop to unload luggage and find reception, however a staff member showed us the way and managed to smoothly check in and be taken to our room. The car was taken to the indoor hotel parking area with easy access for the guests. The room was as expected (by the images on internet), very spacious with a nice balcony and great views. Bed and pillows very comfortable, the room was very clear and amenities as you would expect. We did enjoy an afternoon coffee at the restaurant, which is indeed the best spot in the hotel with stunning views of the bay..obviously the sunny and warm day did make a difference in enjoying the terrace despite being October. Did not have dinner in the hotel restaurant but in our next visit will definitely try it as the menu looked interesting with few but classy dishes. On top, I believe live music was on for that Saturday night..Had breakfast in the morning which was average, but enough. The location of the hotel is great, despite being in the top of the hill as there's an elevator that takes you straight to town and just a few minutes walk from the old city. Overall a good stay and would recommend this hotel in case you visit Nafplio.
