  Having booked Divelia Hotel the same night for an instantaneous booking. The staff were ready on demand to accommodate all requests. All staff were friendly and welcoming. I had a kettle in my room as I was in need of a hot drink having arrived at the hotel after 21:30. Andre ensured our food was heated and provided a hot water machine.The room was spotless and all travellers were comfortable for the duration of the stay. Ladina laid red flowers on my bed and provided an exceptional cleaning service. In addition to, Blarina who was very receptive toward my son and I.Alina assisted in arranging my return transfers to the airport and played with my son every morningat breakfast. She also liased with myself prior.I can not fault this family-run hotel. Highly recommended. I will be back for my third return.

  Lovely hotel very clean the maid did a wonderful job every day. We had lovely fresh clean towels daily and room was left immaculate. The room was on the small side but had everything we needed for a week, kettle,safe and a lovely balcony to sit out. The breakfast wasn’t up to much but could usually make something from what was there. The only thing which we were very disappointed with is when we had to check out at 11am and not getting picked up till 5.30 we asked about a room to get a shower and we were told you had to use the shower by the pool or get a wash in the small toilet by the side of the pool the had no hot water plumbing I think this is a big issue they need to deal with.

  Another great stay at Divelia.

  Our final day in Santorini staying at the Divelia Hotel. Disappointed to read negative reviews as this is certainly not our experience of what is a 2 star hotel having stayed here 3 times in the last 12 months. We are staying in a first floor room with balcony. Room is spotless and cleaned daily and fresh white towels are provided each day. Grey and Brown towels are in the basket in reception for guests to use round the pool or take to the beach. Breakfast is continental style. I pop up to the supermarket (2min walk away) to get fresh fruit to supplement my breakfast which is my choice. We have never seen mould on bread or curled up meat. . Hotel is located 3-4 mins walk from the beach with a great selection of places to eat and drink. We hired a car for the day (35 euros) and travelled over to Akrotiri to visit the excavation site (entry fee 20 euros pp). If you walk to red beach good footwear is advised.. We then drove off to Oia and had a super day ambling round the beautiful narrow streets. The DIvelia is a family run hotel so expect to see wife, husband and son on occasions. Reception stays open when guests are arriving on later flights. We arrived about 22.30 due to delays from Gatwick. Most of the smaller establishments are family run and this is our preferred choice. We consider the Divelia great value for money. If people want a higher standard of accommodation and facilities then they need to look at somewhere like TUI Blue which is next door to the DIvelia. Personally we prefer to support those businesses that are trying to make a living and not a corporate establishment.. See you in June 2026!!

  Divella Hotel, Santorini — A Deeply Disappointing Experience

  I recently stayed at Divelia Hotel in Santorini, and I feel compelled to share my experience, which was unfortunately far removed from the glowing reviews I had read online.🔹 Room Quality & Cleanliness We were initially assigned a room meant for three adults, with a small sofa bed awkwardly added for the third person. The room was cramped, tired, and clearly in need of refurbishment. Cleanliness was a major concern — there were hairs on the floor, and the towels provided were grey, worn out, and looked like they’d been washed far too many times. After raising these issues with reception, we were moved to another room. While it was a slight improvement, it still didn’t resemble the photos shown online. The furnishings were dated, the bathroom shower was dreadful, and the toilet flusher kept falling off the wall. Again, we reported these problems, but no meaningful action was taken.🔹 Facilities & Pool Area The pool was another disappointment. It was black in color, which might have been intended as a design choice, but instead made it look murky and uninviting. It didn’t appear clean, and we didn’t feel comfortable using it at all.🔹 Breakfast Experience Breakfast was included in our stay, but it was of extremely poor quality. The continental selection consisted of cheap cereal, stale cakes, and even mouldy bread on one occasion. They attempted to offer a warm section with beans and eggs, but the food warmer was never turned on, leaving everything cold. The cold meats were stored in a plastic tray without any chilling, and the heat in the room caused the meat to curl at the edges — a serious food safety concern.🔹 Staff & Service Another issue worth noting is the lack of staff presence in the evenings. Staff were only on-site until 9:30 PM, and even when present, they were often seen sitting outside smoking. On one occasion, I’m fairly certain one staff member’s partner was there too, which felt unprofessional and added to the sense that guests were not the priority.🔹 Overall Impression I was genuinely shocked by the contrast between our experience and the online reviews that had suggested this hotel was excellent. In reality, Divella Hotel is, at best, a 2-star establishment. The lack of cleanliness, poor facilities, substandard food, and inattentive service made for a deeply disappointing stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable or enjoyable experience in Santorini.

  Disappointing Stay – Definitely Not a 4-Star ExperienceOur stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing and nowhere near the 4-star standard it claims to uphold. The breakfast was dreadful—cold eggs and beans were served, and the toaster was broken, filling the room with a burning smell. It was nothing like what was described online.The hotel itself was not clean. Towels were washed onsite and often smelled musty, which raised hygiene concerns. There’s no bar on site, which was misleading, and the noise levels were unbearable—thin walls and constant disturbances made restful sleep impossible.Our room was far too small for three adults and felt cramped and unclean. We had to request a move, and while the new room was a slight upgrade, it still didn’t meet basic expectations. This hotel is in no way a 4-star property—it’s more like a 2.5star at best.Went for our last breakfast this morning To find there bread had green moss on it 🤮 so we just left ..The pool wasn’t good definitely didn’t go in it ..What you see isn’t what you get.. Overall, the experience was frustrating and underwhelming. I would not recommend staying here unless major improvements are made.
