  The most relaxing babymoon!

  I travelled with my partner at c6 months pregnant and we had the most relaxing stay at the Selini hotel. Everyone working at the hotel was very welcoming and friendly, especially Maria at the pool bar who made sure we were well looked after during the day! Our stay would not have been the same without her and we miss her daily iced coffees and cocktails (non alcoholic for me). Although a small hotel, we never had any trouble finding sunbeds around the pool (at any time). Spending time at the pool was very relaxing and peaceful. The location was ideal - only a short walk (no more than 10 minutes) to the beach and a variety of restaurants and bars, all serving amazing food! I’d also highly recommend the open air cinema within walking distance. Our room was spotless, cleaned daily and spacious enough for our needs. The breakfast selection was small (as to be expected from a small hotel) but well cooked and plentiful enough to fill us up for the morning. The selection included toast, pastries, cereal, ham, cheeses, eggs and sausage/bacon. We visited Fira and Oia via bus which was a very cheap and easy way to travel (€2 per journey per person). I’m glad we took the time to visit as we saw an incredible sunset, but the towns were so busy with tourists (and more expensive) compared to Kamari. If I was visiting Santorini again, I would absolutely return to Kamari and this hotel - it’s no surprise there were so many returning guests.   I’ve never had a holiday in the same place twice. I would definitely stay here again.The hotel staff were all amazing. Couldn’t do enough to help us with anything. Our room was spotless and cleaned every day. The pool area was great, very relaxed atmosphere where most guests chatted with music playing from the well stocked bar, where Maria is always on hand with a cold Mythos!Kamari is the best spot on the island. Not as hectic and full of cruise ship tourists as Fira and Oia. The hotel is a 5 min walk from the black sand beach, which is lined with dozens of fantastic restaurants and bars, all with a breathtaking view. Our favourite restaurants were Almira and Captain’s corner, though they were all amazing in terms of food quality and service. We took the bus into Fira and Oia for a day, which costs €2 each way. Good to see the views and the sunset, but even nicer to return to Kamari at the end of the day. We also did the sunset catamaran cruise which was incredible and highly recommended. We also hired a buggy to tour the southern half of the island, which is less accessible by bus than the north. Found some great villages, beaches and a lighthouse. All in all, my favourite holiday destination yet, primarily down to the staff and guests at Selini Hotel!   Fabulous holiday at the Selini hotel!

  What a fabulous holiday at the Selini hotel!From friendly and helpful communication before our trip to helping us when our car transfer (booked with the holiday company not the hotel!) was late and everything in between, I'd 100% recommend the Selini hotel.The hotel is in a great location, on a quiet street, but the beach, beach taxis, bars, shops, bakeries and restaurants of Kamari are all within easy walking distance.On arrival we were given a friendly welcome and plenty of information about places to visit and local restaurants.The hotel is spotlessly clean, with daily maid service. Fabulous warm showers and a useful fridge to keep our water in. Comfortable bed and pillows - we slept really well!The pool is a wonderful area to relax, swim and have a drink or snack from the poolside bar and the pool water is crystal clear. Apart from the plentiful sun loungers, there are seats and bean bags to use around the pool area and it was always easy to find some shade if needed.Breakfasts were good with plentiful coffee to set us up for the day!There seemed to be a lot of returning visitors to the Selini hotel and I can understand why - I wish we could have stayed longer, but I'm looking at returning next year. Thanks to everyone at the Selini hotel who made our holiday so wonderful.If you're thinking of visiting beautiful Kamari, I can't think of a better place to stay.Oh, and there's a beautiful and friendly hotel pet cat too!   An excellent hotel that ticks all the boxes at a great price. We were there for our wedding week and hosted 30 friends and family. Theoni, Maria and team made extra effort to make sure all our guests had the most amazing time.Maria looked after us on the bar all week. Best cold mythos draft on the island! The hotel, pool area and rooms were spotlessly clean, well maintained and looked after. The food on offer at lunch is very good (fresh pizzas, gyros, sandwiches). Great location - walking distance to the beach, bakery, supermarkets and restaurants. Also only a 20 min taxi to Fira. The hotel is a 3 star but appears much more, we can’t thank the team enough- we will be back!
