    Hotel with great potential and amazing view

    The hotel was recently renovated with a modern and greek style decoration. The room has a shape of a cave which is really nice and special. Everythong was very clean. The lady in the reception was very nice, polite and helpful.The hotel has a wonderful and breathtaking view to the caldera! Amazing! However, there are 2 points that were disappinting:- The breakfast was poor and the same every day. There was no buffet; The waiter brought the breakfast to our table and it was a basket with fresh bread and pastries, jam, ham, 2 small pieces of cheese, olives, tomato and cucumber. 1 egg, 1 iogurt, and slicced green apple. Everyting was fresh and there was enough food, but we couldt choose what we want to eat.If we want scramble eggs or cereals we must pay extra for that. There was no variety of fruits. No variety of cheese.That is a shame for a 4 stard hotel.Also, on the internet we can see beautiful pictures of guests having dinner on the terrace, and tasty dishes. Well, there was nothing. No tables to seat outside and no restaurant to eat. They informed that they dont have a restaurant or bar, so we were forced to go outside to have a meal or drink something.Maybe they only provide that during the high season, something to discover..

    I had a great stay at Ira Santorini. Situated in an excellent location, I easily walked to Fira multiple times a day and it was an excellent starting point for my hike to Oia. The staff was very attentive and happily arranged for transportation whenever needed, and since I was a solo traveler they even offered to take pictures of me with the beautiful backdrop of the caldera whenever I liked. They took the time to thoroughly go over a map of Santorini upon my arrival, making many suggestions for food and activities. The complementary local white wine was delicious while sitting on the balcony enjoying the view, and the pool and surrounding area very clean and inviting. The bathroom could use a bit of attention as there is a bit of mold around the very bottom of the shower which causes somewhat of a smell sometimes, but otherwise this was an excellent place to stay.

    Wonderful view and cozy secluded place

    I had a wonderful stay. I was first picked up at the airport as arranged with the hotel. I was personally welcomed by Kostas to the office to sign in and get my card. The place is amazing and very relaxing, The Cycladic architecture design was perfect. I had a room that overlooks the Caldera at room 11. They do serve breakfast which was also wonderful. There is however no restaurant on the hotel grounds but it is very close to downtown Fira so you can eat there instead for lunch and dinner. The room was very spacious and clean and just sublime. I did go off-season which was the best because I came to Thira for the photos and not for anything else, I didn’t go to the spa but they were always open and the staff was wonderful and very accommodating specially Kostas. Fira is also just a short walk away. I will stay there again when I go back to Santorini. I also was able to get a wonderful tour guide named Nick (arranged by Kostas), which allowed me to tour all over the island,

    Stunning views and great location

    Located ideally between Fira and Imerovigli, this hotel has a stunning view overlooking the volcano. Having a room with a balcony where we could sit out each evening and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets was a treat. Kostas was a great help, giving us valuable tips and local restaurant recommendations. The room had all the amenities we needed, was spacious and comfortable.

    Don’t stay here, not worth the money

    I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. This is the worst hotel l've ever stayed. Long story short, we were threatened to pay for the accident that happened upon checking-in, in front of a receptionist who didn't help us with anything - carrying the luggage nor warning us about accessibility issues of the room we booked. The staffs and manger were unhelpful, aggressive and acted shady, changing the story all the time.We really wanted to enjoy Santorini but it was ruined. Don't let them ruin your vacation or honeymoon.Also, I don't get why they deserve 4 stars - they can't even provide complementary bottled water even though tap water in the hotel is not safe to drink, according to the staff. We stayed in two hotels in other Cycladic islands, and water was always provided for free. The bathroom was smelly.
