This hotel is located some 50 m from the sprawling black sandy beach of Kamari on one of the strangest islands in the worlds. At the centre of Kamari are an abundance of archaeological, geological, architectural and folklore attractions to pay a visit. Fira is approximately 9 km away.

A pleasant ambience awaits guests in 100 non-smoking rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service and a safe. Enjoyed Our Stay

Despite an unfortunate start to our recent stay at Hotel Kamares (no running hot water in the room) we really enjoyed our stay there. Ada on Reception was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay and along with the owners Grandmother, made us feel welcome. The freshly baked pastries and cakes were a delight. The bedroom was clean and comfortable but is perhaps starting to show its age a bit. Initially we had requested a 'Sea View' room at the front of the hotel but swapped to a room at the back due to road noise, the room was on the first floor so very close to the passing traffic. The ‘mountain view’ rooms were in fact in sun from sunrise to sunset and it was very pleasant to have a morning coffee and an evening tea in the sunshine on the balcony. We were also able to hire a car via the hotel and collect and return it at the hotel via the owners other business, Serifos Travel. Happy to stay at Hotel Kamares again.

2nd visit to Sifnos, can't recommend Hotel Kamari enough. Location is perfect for beach, shops & restaurants, Hosts were lovely and so welcoming. We had a studio room on the 3rd floor which was very clean, spacious, balcony with sea view, we couldn’t fault it. Value for money Hotel Kamari is excellent.

Lovely hotel, 5-10 minutes from the beach, shops, restaurants and port.We had an unplanned overnight stay as all ferries were cancelled due to strong winds. Booked the hotel 1 hour before we checked in, the room was all ready for us, large modern room, lovely balcony. Ada on reception was so helpful and friendly, free hot drinks available and cakes or cookies in the morning.Will definitely stay again when we return to Sifnos.

This is my 4th or 5th time staying here and I absolutely cannot fault this absolute gem of a hotel. We always receive a very warm welcome every time we return.It's a small family run hotel, I always deal directly with the owner Sarah who is warm and friendly. The two main staff at the hotel are Ada and Alex who are both just fantastic, so so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable and those with a balcony afford wonderful views across the beautiful port. The beach is literally a 2 minute stroll from the hotel (if that). While they don't offer catering, they do lay on the most fantastic cakes and coffee every morning, this time I even got to choose what they made the next day!The hotel is super convenient for the port (5-10 minute walk) and the island bus service stops right outside the door. On this occasion unfortunately I was taken seriously ill and had to cut my stay short, the hotel staff could not have been more helpful, they sorted the doctors for me and transport when I needed to head to hospital back on the mainland , they also didn't penalise us or charge us for cutting the stay short. They also emailed my friend everyday I was in hospital to check how I was. You can't ask for more thoughtful service than that.These guys are fantastic and I highly recommend them.

Spacious studio in convenient location

Lovely hotel. We had a very spacious studio with balcony overlooking the mountains and sea. Ada on reception was very friendly and informative as was the other lady. You can help yourself to delicious homemade cakes and cookies in reception each day, along with tea and coffee. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was well equipped for our needs ( making breakfast and occasionally a sandwich) and the bathroom was a good size with plenty of hot water. We did have a slight problem keeping the shower head attached to the bracket on the wall and the wifi was patchy but we enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we return to Sifnos
