  A disappointing 2nd visit

  We stayed here in October 2023 and loved it so booked to go back this year. Sadly we did not have the same experienceWhilst the setting and location is undoubtedly fabulous if you want seclusion and peace and quiet and the accommodation is rustic but charming the standard of service is far below what we would expect from 5 starLast year the lady who was managing couldnt do enough for us but this year there was rarely anyone at reception, the key was just left in the door when we arrived and we had to telephone to say we wanted to check in. She just told us room noBreakfast last year was served in a small restaurant which was quite charming and you chose the night before what you wanted....the restaurant had been converted into a makeshift gym and breakfast was bought to your accommodationI did not mind this - however there was no choice. They just bought whatever which consisted of fried eggs (usually cold), bread, sometimes a bit of rank cheese, some greek yoghurt, cereal etc. It would have been nice to have had a choiceWe asked for it at 9.30am which happened on the first day then it got earlier and earlier and on our last day it was bought at 8.30amWe had a room with a hot tub....this was boiling on the 1st day. The lady reduced the temperature for us and then it was freezing. We asked her to fix it but she never came and therefore we could not use itWe will unfortunately be looking for alternative accommodation for our next trip to SantoriniSuch a shame as if run properly this could be fabulous

  Service less than half of what I paid for

  Be careful not to be fooled.It's the worst accommodation I've ever experienced.I'm a person who usually doesn't complain too much about any accommodation.However, this is a place that offers services far below the amount I paid.- Even though check-in time has reached, There's no manager who guides you to the accommodation. I wasn't even provided with Wi-Fi.FYI, the reception is always empty 24hr. so your inconvenience cannot be resolved immediately.- I paid 1100 EUR for two nights.The room has the spacious interior and contains a jacuzzi, table, and chair in outdoors. it introduces that it offers five-star hotel-level services. It also has good sunset views.- But when i checked in, My family couldn't be satisfied at all after seeing the outdoor facilities. Please refer to the picture1. The jacuzzi was full of dust inside.2. The outdoor table was so dusty that it seemed like it had been a few weeks since I cleaned it. I cleaned the table several times, but it didn't get clean.I've never booked a room in Pompeii3. The chairs, cushions, and mattresses outside looked like they had never been washed at all. I couldn't use it at all- So we have complained about the cleaning status. But she explained that it was because of the rain in the morning.Rather than apologizing, she forces us to understand the fact that it rained.I had been in Acrotiri since the morning that day, and there was not much rain that day.- I hope she admits her wrongdoing and makes improvements. If you used the jacuzzi cover and used the non-wetting chair, it would be better.What if she apologized, immediately replaced the cushions and mattresses and cleaned the Jacuzzi dirt dust?- She said she would clean it the next morning. We decided to be patient. Therefore, the outdoor facilities were not available at all on the first day.The next day they took off the cushions and mattress covers outside. FYI, they clean while we have breakfast.- FYI, they don't have extra mattresses and cushions.So if you book here that costs 550 EUR per night, you can see mattresses and cushions dry out during your stay- They replaced the jacuzzi water in the morning. But they filled it with cold water.So it took 1 day for the water to reach temperatures of 35 to 40 degrees. Eventually, I couldn't use my Jacuzzi until I checked out.- The room smells like mold due to poor ventilation. I was fine, but my mother complained of headaches during her stay here.Also, the water tasted like salt, so I bought water, brushed my teeth, and washed my face.- This is the most important part. She knows that I had a bad experience.Most surprisingly, she secretly called Booking.com canceled my reservation for No Show reasons. She did this to prevent bad review.Of course, I stayed here for three days, and she made us breakfast twice.- When I asked her why she canceled it, she pretended not to know, and promised to restore it. But my reservation is still canceled.As i checked, the Booking.com system cannot restore the canceled reservation. She's exploiting it- In Europe, including Greece, it is mandatory to record travelers' stay information.But the accommodation does not collect our passport information. It's illegal.

  Where to start.I’m not going to go into too much detail because to be honest we have been fighting this case for 2 months and can’t honestly be bothered anymore. Here are a few things:- we arrived slightly early which they were aware of and told us we had to go for a walk so that they could tidy and clean the villa - bearing in mind we had been up travelling all night and were not in appropriate clothing for hot weather (it was an upgrade so we did have to move 3 days later, to which we were told we would have to leave at 11 and come back at 3pm, my husband was not happy and told them we will stay in the villa until the suite was ready)- there was no restaurant or room service as stated on booking.com meaning we had to go offsite for every meal.- the location is at the bottom of the island away from everything so make sure you have a car - you’ll be using it a lot.- breakfast was not 5*, 3 mini snack pastries, a boiled egg and a bowl of stale cereal in plastic bowls.- the pool was meant to be heated to 35 and it was freezing the entire time despite trying to get them to increase the temp multiple times.- streaming services do not work so if you fancy a bit of Netflix in the evening before bed, think again.- don’t use booking.com - due to the fact the hotel came up with their own version of events, booking.com had to remain neutral and somehow our review on their page got magically rejected. Incredible considering there are so many people that have experienced the same. This was our honeymoon and we unjustly lost a lot of money for a few days of all of this when we could have spent it somewhere else with a restaurant and heated pools like we wanted. I’m so over it all but thought I would leave an honest review since it got deleted on booking.com

  False Advertising & Awful Manager

  No Bar, restaurant, no buffet hot & cold breakfast,no heated private pool, no 24hr reception. So isolated but good IF private pool heated & bar & restaurant but she just said no bar or restaurant & didn’t care,then pretending for 2 days that filthy pool was heating. She & done guy then absolutely Terrified me by calling police who were so nice & insisted she give us refund for nxt 4 nights as they could see none of the amenities were there as advertised ( on their website & booking.com ) at the time of booking & early May this year & we were calm & had just asked for pool to be heated or some compensation, as was witnessed by our neighbours who all had problems with their accommodation also Do not stay here. The lovely photos are false or are old. It’s so isolated if no car. She try’s to sell excursions at way more expensive prices. She nearly ruined our whole holiday. We left so upset & with nowhere to go. Luckily it all worked out

  Honeymoon

  What a beautiful place. The staff were all amazing and nothing was too much to ask. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and was blown away. The villas are a walk away from the famous lighthouse sunset but we would recommend getting a quad/ car to get around the island as it’s quite remote but this worked perfect for us for a nice chilled honeymoon
