  The Perfect Stay

  I was a little apprehensive about staying here due to the lack of recent reviews. However, any nerves I had were swiftly allayed when I saw the suite we were staying in. Liakada Suites are situated at the bottom of Oia’s many tiered streets ensuring you have fantastic, unobscured views and absolute privacy. Having researched Oia in advance, I know the neighbouring hotels were far more expensive despite being in a similar location which ensures this place is great value for money. We stayed in room number 5 which I would recommend for the views and the spacious balcony. So good were the views on the balcony that I chose it as the location to propose to my girlfriend on the second night of our stay! Something to note for this place is that check-in takes place in Armeni Village which is a good 10/15 min walk away so make sure you head there first to avoid any extra unnecessary stair climbing. Once there the staff are extremely friendly and attentive and carry your luggage to Liakada. They even provided us with a mobile phone to contact them in the event we needed assistance and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place as somewhere to stay while in the beautiful Oia!

  Breathtaking view, lovely staff, nice pool

  The suite is really amazing, very spacious and equipped with everything you need. The view really takes your breath away. The location is ideal- really in the center and yet far away from the noise of the busy town. It is also perfectly located to give you privacy as the pool is not located in front of a walking street. The staff was very helpful and kind and made the stay even lovelier. We would definitely recommend and we will certainly be back!

  Great Place but With a Few Small Issues

  The location is beautiful. Nothing is better than staying on a cliff that overlooks Santorini and the sea, day and night. The suite was very nice/cute inside, especially because of how it’s built into the cliff and has so many different rooms and a small hot tub. Here’s the bad part: the bed was too hard (almost like a rock). Also, the hot tub was only hot one night but then wasnt hot at all the final night and day we were there, even after we asked the management to heat it up. If management wants to make their customers happy they should get some softer beds and fix the hot tub issue. Otherwise we loved our stay there, especially for the view and the location. Expect to climb some stairs to get to the room, which wasn’t a problem for us but might be for older people. Fortunately, the porter helped carry the bags, but we felt bad for them. They deserve lots of tips.

  Nice But Needs Improvement

  Pros: The scenery is beautiful. The jacuzzi is relaxing.Manager and porters were helpful.Good to have a kitchen.Airconditioning worked properly.Laundry service price very reasonable.Cons: Felt bad for the porter bringing all the luggage - they should give him like a cart of sorts which I saw with porters from other hotels.Wish we were notified that our room was all the way to the bottom of the hill and adjacent to construction so we could be prepared for the walk.There is no breakfast offered so we bought bread and meats as we did not want to walk up and down every day - believe me it was tiring and we are pretty fit.Kitchen could be upgraded as the combo microwave/ministove seems dilapidated.Would be great if they could add waterproof floor mats for stepping out of the shower as it gets wet everywhere.An extra blanket and pillow could be added in the closet as the blanket was pretty thin. We used the bed cover as an extra blanket.An ironing board and iron could be also a great addition. We requested one and what we got was an old board which was falling apart and could be left with us for a couple of hours. With the price we pay per night I cannot believe they cannot afford to give each room a decent ironing board and iron.No complimentary water bottles. Option in laundry service for folding or hanging clothes when they are returned.A makeup mirror would have been a great addition.BIG POINT - IN OUR ROOM - ROOM NO 5 - THERE IS SOME SORT OF MOLD ON THE CEILING ABOVE THE SHOWER. PLEASE HAVE IT CHECKED.

  An interesting place to stay

  A cave type accomodation at Santorini. We got a small jacuzzi which overlook a beautiful scenery. They have a small kitchen which is nice. The downside of the place is the distance it took us to the room. Be prepared with lots of stairs up and down. A porter will carry the luggages but we seriously felt bad for the porter but there is no other way to bring the luggages other than carry them.
