  Beautiful location and amazingly appointed room. Owner was very kind and helpful. Very good breakfast. Wish I could've stayed longer as I arrived late & left early. Stunning. It was a bit hard to find but owner came to meet me. Photos do it justice and are accurate.

  It wasn't the first time in Santorini for my friend and I, and we were slightly apprehensive to spend a night there to catch a ferry the next day - the crowds really ruined it for us last time. But we didn't need to worry, because our stay in Smaro Studios really changed our perception of the island!The rooms are in Firostefani, which is only a 15-minute walk from either Fira or Imerovigli but much quieter and just as beautiful. The rooms were very clean and had everything you need, views are fantastic, staff absolutely lovely and helpful. Breakfast is delivered straight to your room, and peacefully savouring it on our balcony was honestly one of the highlights of my whole holiday.I can't recommend Smaro Studios enough - a rare find in the madness of a very busy and touristy island.

  Unforgettable stay at Smaro Studios

  Firstly, if you prefer a calmer atmosphere than in Fira or in Oia , choose Firostefani or Imerovigli . You will have from these villages the same views (even higher !) on the caldeira, nice restaurants and cheaper rooms.Our 2 nights at Smaro Studios will stay as an excellent "souvenir": great location, large and luminous studio , excellent breakfasts, discretion and kindness of the hosts and finally a good and reasonnable price. They can arrange your transfer from everywhere on the island ( do not try , as we did it , to climb with heavy lugages from Fira bus Station!) .We highly recommend Smaro Studios !

  Even Better Than We Hoped!

  Our stay at Smaro Studios was amazing, and when we come back to Santorini, we will definitely stay here again. Our room was spotlessly clean and larger than we expected, situated right at the top of the caldera ridge with spectacular views of the entire caldera and unbelievable sunsets.The staff was always available, friendly and helpful, and delivered a large, wonderful breakfast to our room every morning. I'm normally more of a mid-budget traveler, but I decided to splurge in Santorini so I booked the best room Smaro had. It was more amazing than many of the rooms at hotels in Santorini charging 2 to 5 times as much. We had tons of space, bathrooms with showers on both the first & second floors, and mini refrigerators on both floors too. Our patio had an outdoor dining set, umbrella & private hot tub. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a little nook built into an alcove over the stairs where my wife loved to read. Don't fight the crowds in Oia to get a spot to watch the sunset, book this room and watch the sun do its thing every night while you sit out on the private patio, either in the hot tub or at the table, or even inside with your head out the window, drinking wine from the bottle you stashed in the refrigerator. Its relaxing, and amazing, and you won't believe how lucky you are.
