Super stay 🥰 only +++++ from us

    rating22 May 2026

Too Sophia Luxury Suites Imerovigli Many thanks to Sophia Luxury Suites Imerovigli for an unforgettable 25th wedding anniversary stay, we thank you from all our hearts.A warm welcome and staff helped us with luggage to our hotelroom. We were allowed to check in a little earlier, and we were very happy about that. The hotel room was exactly as we expected, a beautiful large window by the bed, like a living painting, the room was nicely clean, the pool was nicely heated. If there was anything, the staff was there right away, only 5 out of 5 stars from here. We had the beautiful sunset with food on the balcony. We had food from the hotel, it was fine and the price was affordable. Our hotel room was at the top very private and undisturbed. We had breakfast served every day exactly according to our wishes what we want and when, then the staff came for the waitress, we can only highly recommend the place. The reception helped us with transport to the airport and much more, which we thank and make our trip more exciting and we were able to make the most of our days.

    Cleanliness

I would pay very close attention to the bad reviews if thinking of staying here- the pictures of the moldy bathrooms and dirty rooms are not one offs.

Poor customer service. Shabby, dirty, musty suites.

    rating03 Dec 2025

Do not book with Sophia “Luxury” Suites. We reserved the Poets Upper Floor Suite and it was beyond disappointing. We didn’t even unpack before checking out.The suite was shabby and dirty. The sheets were stained and had hair in them, as if they were only spot-cleaned. The room was dusty, smelled like it hadn’t been aired out in ages, and the daybed had visible dirt and stains. Paint was peeling off the walls and floor. The bathroom drain looked dirty and rusted, and the pool was filthy and genuinely looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. We found another hotel just a short walk away, and the difference was night and day. When we contacted the third-party booking agency for a refund, the hotel offered to “inspect” the room, but the condition was far beyond something a sheet change could fix. They refused to refund even a portion of the stay, despite the room clearly not being as advertised. At this point, what can you reasonably expect in terms of customer service when Sophia Luxury Suites doesn’t even care for the basic upkeep of their own property?

    Luxury Suites NOT Luxury

    rating12 Oct 2025

The room we stay was poor maintenance, paint peeling off in many places inside the room, the mirror dilapidated inside the bathroom, and the heat dissipation cover of the pool motor is uneven and could easily injure customers. But the hotel doesn’t seem to care! The worst part was the breakfast! They only brought it in takeout box! Is this a fast food restaurant? Furthermore, the breakfast was already rotten inside when it was delivered! Unacceptable!1 point for the hotel’s view and for the helpful porterThere are many options in Imerovigli, NOT recommended to stay there….

Great views but several aspects to improve on

    rating12 Oct 2025

Lots to say so keeping it to the point...PROS: 1)Spectacular view2)Interesting cave house design rooms with "private" Jacuzzi tub outside/inside (neither warm nor cool)3)Breakfast (quality) and delivery to room, and app to order room service (food quality decent)4)Staff do try to help, especially the porter who has to run up/down all day with heavy luggage, and I believe he works alone 5) store nearby for water/drinks, close walk to several good restaurants, and close to bus stop for using bus (and pick up location for excursions)CONS: 1) Need to walk past a dungy alley to get to walkway (more like 30 uneven cobble stone steps down) to get to " front" of hotel. But the alley is part of public walkway so there is NO privacy. In fact on all days I see public just waltzing in to take advantage to the view that customers paid to get. There are ways to make the entrance a bit more private (many other hotels/AirBnB have the same issue given the island layout, so it is doable)2) Along the same line, be aware that your "tub" is outside and for all to see, including non hotel guests given the issue above3)Breakfast, as good as it was, only starts at 830am. So if you have excursions planned and need to be out earlier you can only get a premade one night before (old bread with ham/cheese, yougurt, banana, juice) and you are on your own for coffee (which they have only instant, no Nespresso, and mine was located at the bedside table)!3) Wear and tear. As some other reviews have stated, there is a lot of maintenance tune up needed. I will give them benefit of doubt that i went late season so many guests before me and likely repairs are not done till off season. So the pristine perfect pics are NOT what you get. It is however, at least for my room, not a bad as some other reviewers make it to be (and no idea where those pictures are from, but there are rooms spread out so i may not have seen them). Room is reasonable clean.4) Portering...there is one very very hard working gentleman. My room is down the 30 uneven steps (that all guests have to use) and then back up another 20+ (albeit smooth/paved) steps to get to it. Porters only start working at 8am (not sure when his shift is over). So if you need to arrive/depart outside of those times, you are sadly on your own (as other reviewers have also pointed out)! This is NOT the porter's fault (he works hard...i always see him sweating and huffing/puffing). This is not acceptable for a hotel with physical design that is VERY challenging to get to/from. So buyer beware before booking as that is a bit limiting (straight flat stairs up/down I have done many times). For me i had to leave early to catch flight to Athens then home, so ended up doing it myself, outside, in pitch dark (stairs are NOT lit as part of it is the public walkway i mentioned above)!!! Not an experience I care to repeat, and certainly sour that otherwise good stay at the very end. I would really encourage the hotel to improve on this aspect and not just rest on their laurel of the spectacular view . The island supposedly welcomes millions of international guests that have all kinds of travel schedule, so despite being a "boutique" hotel, some services are just "essential" for your guest, especially at the price point they are charging (even by expensive Santorini standard). Indeed my early flight is NOT an exception as the airport was packed and this was "off peak season" already!
