Great location, helpful staff. Good pool. That's all she wrote.

Let me start with the positives. The location in the centre of Oia is unbeatable. Of course the downside is that it is rather noisy until around 2am. The other positives are the charming pool which is a rare treat after a hot day on Santorini, and the lovely friendly and helpful staff on reception, who really made a difference. Now the negatives. Our room was advertised as a family suite. In reality it was a double bedroom attached to another room crammed with beds and no air con. The bathroom was mouldy with dubious plumbing and was not cleaned properly. The maid left our door unlocked and the previous occupant had lost the safe key which made me somewhat nervous about our passports. It is an average hotel in a very good location.

    Very nice hotel

We stayed at this hotel for two or three nights last year. It is a little far away from any towns, but the hotel was very nice. The staff very friendly and our room was large, very clean and comfortable. Amorgos is a fascinating Island. It is run by one family and they were very helpful. Ask for Adonis, the son-in-law if you want a fascinating and knowledgeable guided tour. We had a wonderful tour and learned so much about the plants, myths and places he took us to.

    Great location

    rating18 Aug 2017

For the location, this hotel offers a great price, It's right in the middle of Oia street, steps away from bus stops, all the blue dome churches, restaurants and shops...and if you book the room on the top floor, you will have your own large balcony with the Caldera view. The staffs are very helpful and friendly, they have a service picking up/ drop off where ever you like for 30 euros. Here are few things that could be improved: I booked the honeymoon suite, it's a large room, the bed is quite hard, the room is lacking some good lighting at night, the TV does turn on but have one or two channels, my most complaint is the bathroom, it was clean but hot water only run certain time of the day, basically no hot water early morning, or late night, hot water only worked around noon. They did not have real shampoo, they had one of those 2 in 1 shampoo and body wash combine. I don't expect much but lacking hot water and shampoo are very basic for any hotel. I stayed for 6 days, although the condition was not bad I was happy to leave. I love the location of this hotel, but I am not sure if I would stay here again. Thanks to the helpful staff (a sweet front desk lady :) welcoming me to Greece from her email to my stay and arranged everything for a solo traveler like me. Efharisto :)

We got on with it but a less than average hotel

    rating13 Aug 2017

I had booked a room here for 3 nights for august many months ago before the reviews started to go down hill. Needless to say I was anxious about what I would find when we arrived. But I want to provide an honest account of my experience to help others. Il start with the positives -location is SUPERB. Hard to believe your right on the main Street of Oia and central to everything. Despite this you don't hear an ounce of noise from the busy street from your room. The location of the hotel is now easier to find thanks to EU roaming charges being dropped...just stick the hotel in google maps and it's very easy to find. It is down a few steps and through the green door. Easy. The reception lady was very friendly and welcoming, checked us in straight away with no fuss. She gave us lots of helpful info on the area. Another plus- The pool was wonderful, probably the deepest pool I have ever been in! Very good size and cleaned daily, I felt it was well maintained during my stay there. The rooms were very large, we had a ground floor room opposite the pool. Now the room - there was no mould in our room or in the bathroom. The small kitchenette and fridge area was useful. On day one there was no particular bad smell either but unfortunately this did creep in on day 2 and 3. Could never identify where it came from but I guessed it was following turning on taps/shower/flushing the toilet. It resembled a faint musty/sewage smell. There were dead squashed flies over every wall, the kind of flies that you do see along side mouldy/damp areas. These were unpleasant and should have been cleaned off. There were a few alive ones flying around as well which was equally unpleasant. There was no hot water at all during our stay no matter what time we showered. On day one we noticed our room hadn't been cleaned which was disappointing particularly as the toilet bin hadn't been changed. Then we had a random knock on our door at 6pm-ish from a cleaner asking if we wanted our room cleaned. We were having a nap so was a little dazed and asked if she could return tomorrow however we didn't have a cleaner for the rest of our time there. We paid a little over £100 a night to stay here, if you looked to stay at anywhere else in the same location you can quite easily expect to triple that price per night. In fact I looked at the next best hotel at the same price and it was based over 2km away from Oia. From my hotel research - Be prepared to spend a lot more money or stay a lot farther away if your looking for top accommodation in Oia.
