    Wonderful hotel

    We stayed at Thiras Dolphin 3 nights.I wish we could have stayed longer.The location is terrific,far away from the crowded streets of Fira and Thira and Oija. But still within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. Beautiful views from the pool area.The owners are very helpful and accommodating. Definitely would go back.

    Larger than average swimming pool that is in an elevated position, you can see both seas from the pool area as well as views across the Caldera and of mainland Oea and Pyrgos all lit up at night. Breakfast was great and they bought some wheat free bread for me. The room was perfect with 3 aspects 2 different sea views and a sunrise view, balcony and ensure. All perfectly clean, the bed was particularly good as well. All in all a perfect break in a particularly peaceful part of the island.

    This hotel has got beautiful views, the staff are lovely and accomodating but if you want a good night sleep or to have a rest from hectic life back home then this isn't for you. the walls are paper thin, the noises upstairs echo and we heard people moving furniture at midnight which shook our room below.the church bells ring early every morning. I am more tired now than when I left home. Breakfast is okThere is a little town 5 minute walk away where there is a pharmacy, few restaurants and a in shop bakery. just please don't eat any shellfish. my friend got sick on the first night, the authority's have confirmed the shellfish don't get transported properly so it really isn't safe to eat.

    Very disappointing breakfast. Probably one of the worst I ever had in a "hotel". Not sure why even offer one. General feeling - family run bnb, not a hotel. Far from everything. But maybe just not my cup of tea.

    Just wow, peaceful and relaxing. Away from all the tourist stuff which we love. For breakfast try the honey with anything its beautiful, nice warm fresh boiled eggs. If you like walking and dont want to bus every where it's the perfect location. 1hr 30 to black beach (walking) 1 hour to white beach (walking) 30 mins to red beach (walking) It's very hilly if that is a word always have water on you! Bus gets packed! 30 mins on a bus to fira, then you have to change over at fira to go to oia which is another 20 mins or so. (Bus €2 or so) Cab to fira €30 Cab to oia €50 The lady who works here is very helpful, called our boat trip and booked restaurants for us :) If you want to stay local 'theo' something is very nice! Also if your not a big eater like me the food portion are massive, average food costs for 1 starter 2 mains and 2 drinks €50. Have yet to go to oia yet so unsure on prices. Also make sure you have you walking shoes on to get to the hotel as most transfers dont drop you outside the hotel, have to walk up a very big hill :)
