    Delightful Place, Delightful People

    rating08 Oct 2017

Villa Pezoula is an adorable place to stay in Santorini. It has very cute, delightful rooms with kitchenettes (one of the rooms we took) and a loft, where kids had a lot of fun sleeping and playing. It is managed by a small team - which combines of the owner, the lady manager, chef and a couple of other people. They go out of the way to take care of you and treat you as guests. PS: If your are carrying heavy luggage, be prepared to take it downhill and uphill when reach and when you leave. That is a bit of an exercise. Although the place is charming and lovely, it doesn't provide a view of the Caldera, but the caldera is visible from the road to the villa. Beside this it is one of the best places we have stayed in #coffeecameraandtheroad

    Fantastic

    rating01 Oct 2017

My partner and I stayed at the apartment at Villa Pelouza at Oia for 4 days in September 2017. We confirmed beforehand that the villa is located separately from the main hotel rooms and pool of Villa Pelouza ( it is at Coloumpos - a 5 - 10 minute drive from Oia). We also hired a car at the airport to ensure we could get around (eg to Fira and the Red Beach). The villa was fantastic set above a taverna with absolutely delicious food. The taverna is not open every night and even when it was, we were not disturbed by noise or partying. We had a very comfortable stay with a great bathroom and kitchen. Breakfast was left every day for us with bread rolls, jam, a filter coffee maker, cheese and salami. The bed was in a loft above us and there were two additional separate single beds if you have kids. The beach was over the road and we could sit on our balcony in seclusion and watch the sunset. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay here again.

    Convenient 😊

    rating04 Sept 2017

Our trip to santorini was memorable for us because its our honeymoon. But still i decided to look for a place that of course fits our budget yet convenient and comfortable for us. Finikia which the villa pezoula is located, for us the better place to stay because you can rest well and sleep tight at night not too noisy and crowded unlike fira is the center or city of santorini, while oia has the most beautiful scenery yet expensive place to stay, and if you're a beach lover you might as well choose kamari. But Back to villa pezoula, we liked our room located to a nice view. We just have some issues with the bed which is rough that my husband needs to put some extra towels for his arms that cramped due to steady foam but we asked for extra pillows for atleast we slept comfortably at night. The wifi is too slow to use when watching videos or browsing which we understood. The breakfast would've been much better if we have more choices. And you have to look for other places to eat lunch and dinner. But konstantina was accommodating as well as the rest was friendly. It was budget friendly to spend 5 days at villa pezoula.

Beware that a part of the hotel is 3 km away!

    rating13 Aug 2017

Booked this particular hotel when this was close to Oia and had a swimming pool, and it looked kind of nice on the pictures, we thought this was a real good deal, in the middle of July. When we arrived the hotel, one of the first questions we were presented was: "What do you want to rent, a car or an ATV". None of the above, we answered, as we didn't have any plans to rent anything, at our 2 days stay. The receptionists answer was firmly "You will need it, as your hotel room is 3 km from here". I became frustrated and said that this was NOT mentioned anywhere when we ordered at hotels.com. She knew exactly what to answer and showed me the hotels homepage in Greek, where it supposedly the information was given. Not in the English version. We had to rent an ATV for 2 days for 85 EURO, and they had a company they worked with who fixed everything for us, great deal for them.... Not us. When we arrived, we had absolutely no water or electricity, as it came and went since the great factory down the street took it all. And we got 2 try buns, 4 cheese slices and 3 salami pieces for breakfast, and don't forget the eggs, that already where cook beforehand... This is for 2 grown people, we where not full, at all, and had to eat a second breakfast later. If we ate it all the first day, we did not get refills for the cheese and salami the next day.Horrible time wasting and money demanding hotel...And not to forget, when we checked out and were on our way out of the hotelroom at 10:15 am, one of the employees at the hotel asked if we could get going, as a new family where on their way to our old room... I don't believe they got to clean the place in between.

    BEWARE

    rating09 Jul 2017

This is based on our experience & booking with Villa Pezoula. In January 2017 I booked 2 nights for the Standard Apartment/Studio including dining & kitchen. Before I submitted my booking I read the reviews & contacted the booking agent to confirm the apartment was at the same address as stated and shown in the pictures provided at the time of my booking (they now show different photos) the booking agent confirmed this was correct. We arrived in June after 5 and half weeks of travelling through the UK & Europe, staying at 26 different accomodation places and nil problems until here. We were told our apartment was 3 kms away in a remote area that was only accessible by car. After many tears and disbelief we were taken to what is actually called Colombo Apartments, no pool, no shops to buy food only a fish restaurant below the apartments, the beach has big pebbles basically it was nothing liked what was booked. I walked 3 klms back to the main road while my daughter secured another hotel (this was actual a blessing as it was beautiful, offered more and closer to Oia). I contacted our booking agent who was able to obtain a full refund due to this false practice. I therefore cannot review Villa Pezoula, I can only warn you to be very careful!!
