    Really enjoyable stay. The hotel was ideally situated in Skiathos Town by the harbour with amazing views from the Restaurant. The room was a good size and regularly cleaned. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and tasty. The hotel has a few sun loungers and a smallish outdoor pool which was always clean.

    We stayed for a week in early October.Good points- It's a clean bright hotel with a small but good pool.Breakfast in on the rooftop with gorgeous views of the harbour.Its a large varied buffet.Cleaning is every day and very thorough.The staff are first rate in all areas,friendly and efficient.It's right by the airport so five minutes transfer,masses of restaurants within ten minutes walk.

    Fabulous stay at the hotel. The staff were wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful. On arrival we were given a drink which made you feel very welcome. The bedroom was spotless, a good size and a balcony which was lovely to sit out on especially in the morning sun. We were given clean towels every day. The food was excellent. We were spoilt for choice with the buffet breakfast. We stayed half board, evening meals were delicious. The hotel is in an excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the bus stop and close to bars and restaurants.

    I am using a walking stick and on arrival found that we were in a room onto lower floor with no lift . I asked if we could be allocated a room on the ground floor for ease of movement . We were allocated a room on the ground floor and the young man Cristos moved our cases and bags . The hotel is excellent and the breakfast buffet is the best we have ever seen . Quality of food was brilliant . We would definitely return. The staff Alexandra, Anna, Evie , Harris and Cristos were always very friendly and chatty. We would definitely recommend this hotel for its cleanliness. Quality of food and its staff. Well done to the Alkyon Hotel in Skiathos

    A Great Place to Stay

    We had a great stay at the Alkyon Hotel.The position, right on the sea front, is excellent and within 10 minutes walk of bars and restaurants it is perfectly positioned. It is only 15 minutes walk to the towns main shopping area.The facilities are good and the room comfortable and clean (we were down the stairs, with a terrace, not a balcony, if this does not suit you, I suggest you arrange/pay for an alternative, to ensure you get exactly what you want).The dining room with its fabulous sun terrace is fantastic and the food is very good, with plenty of choice, to suit all tastes, for breakfast. The hotel evening dining area, situated right at the front of the hotel, on the road, is also very good.The thing that makes this hotel a five star review, is the staff. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble (the reception staff will help with any problem or advice you need, to make your stay even more enjoyable). I must make a special mention regarding two staff members (Maintenance Man (I think his name is Miti or Miki) and Groom (Pandelis). My wife had a fall and bent her ring on her finger that had great sentimental value. We couldn't get it off, so the two staff members mentioned, turned up in our room, armed with tools and straightened and removed the ring - a huge thank you to them both, who displayed great skill and compassion.I cannot fail this hotel in any way and Skiathos is lovely, and could be fabulous, if it wasn't for the huge number of motorbikes/scooters being driven around, too fast and without much consideration, especially in the mainly pedestrian areas - but that's not the hotels fault.I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a great place to stay.
