    Where to start ! Had 7 nights towards the end of September looking forward to visiting the island . Expected rustic Greek but this was something else ! First day .. no hot water ( and not just our room ) . Electrical safety issues …constant drain smell… black hairs on fresh sheets and on the floor after cleaners been in .. toilet back loose and unsafe … shower curtain rail about to fall off .. had rain one night and woke up to our shoes being in a puddle of water that had run in under the door .. what appears to be mould on the ceilings ( our neighbours showed us their ceiling ) ..a double socket with both outlets being used right next to the sink ( danger of water splashing into it ) .. can’t believe Jet2 put their name to this accommodation .. avoid at all costs ! We were that disappointed that we checked into a hotel for a night to get a break from the place …. Having said all that Skiathos is a beautiful island and we have already booked to go back next year .. but in a hotel !!

    Returned this week after staying for 10 nights. If you want self catering this place is not for you , very small kitchen facilities, sink & cupboard / hob , we simply used the kettle & sink so the lack of amenities didn’t bother us. A good size fridge provided. It suits us to eat out as the restaurants in Skiathos town are fabulous. The Amalthia is in an excellent location , very quick walk to bus stop 3 & more importantly into Skiathos town. The room & bathroom are small however comfortable bed & towels & linen changed regularly. Safe provided & air con. The bathroom is small with excellent shower , just needed a new shower curtain. We had a wonderful holiday & a very pleasant stay at Amalthia. Skiathos is just beautiful& can’t wait to go back 🙂.

    Disappointed apartment looks better in pictures, no safe cooking facilities. No one on site to ask for assistance.

    Disappointing .no safe cooking facilities or prep area for self catering . no one on site for assistance as shown in write up about the studios .It says someone available 12hrs a day on site. I’ve never seen anyone. Air conditioning didn’t work reported 3 times through jet 2 but no one turned up to sort it.We ended up buying batteries for the controller.We have spoken to two other couples on site who have all had other problems with the facilities.No answer from owner when contracted for help.No advice on check out timesWe arrived late in the dark no one to meet us was dropped two roads away and had to find it on our own.The only reason we gave 2 stars was the hot water and shower excellent.And the cleaner made a good job of keeping apartment very clean. I booked these apartments as the reviews were excellent for 2024 saying how lovely the owners were and the attention to detail.Not sure where it’s all gone wrong .We travel alot using self catering and realise these standards are not acceptable.We are also disappointed in a trusted company like jet 2 that they have included the Amalthia studios in their self catering category for skiathos.Clearly they have not visited the site themselves.Beautiful skiathos we will be back but not at these apartments.

    The reason we picked these apartments were the reviews seemed outstanding. On arrival we were very disappointed the owners friend did our check in which was very quick and efficient. The room was extremely small very clean but not many hangers to put our clothes away. We didn't unpack for a few hours we spoke to the owner and asked if they had a bigger room but unfortunately they wasn't one available. We never got to meet the owners. The cleaner was very pleasant and kept our room very clean. The apartment was very central 5 minute walk into the centre. My overall thoughts on these apartments too small no space anywhere to even make a sandwich let alone use the hot plates available.

    Great location - clean but needs refresh

    Location is excellent just a few streets away from the main shopping area. The studios are clean and have a daily maid service - the studios are due to be renovated next year and they are overdue a refresh. Shower and toilet bathroom are very typical of Greece - not that much pressure and takes a bit of fiddling with to find the happy medium between volcano hot or freezing- shower is small with a curtain that likes to stick to you but the bathroom is clean and bin emptied every day (you cannot put paper down the loo) and you must buy bottled water as the water out the taps is not drinkable due to high mercury - not even to brush your teeth. There was no water in the fridge on arrival.
