  I stayed at Astoria Hotel in Skiathos last year with my partner, and honestly, it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was excellent.The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming they really couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Mrs Eleni, who made us feel right at home from day one.The boys at the bar are fantastic, so easy to chat with and they make amazing cocktails. Definitely try the piña colada, it was one of the highlights!Our room was very clean and well looked after, which made our stay even more comfortable. The best pool I’ve ever seen and just a 2 min walk to and from Troulos Beach!! Can’t wait to be back

  we enjoyed our 10 day stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast did not have much choice but there was enough to eat. Be carful when the luggage truck comes to pick up your cases as ours were left behind. The hotel tried to contact the luggage truck company without any luck. So we waited for our transfer coach as said that our cases had not gone with the luggage truck so would have to go with us on the coach but the coach driver was not happy about it and this led to a very heated discussion and was backed up by other guests who knew our problem. In the end he relented and put them on the coach. Be warned.We eat in many very good restaurants locally Origano, Salt and Pepper , Ambrosia and Jasteri all good. We did the Mama Mia boat trip with a small boat just round from the old harbour. All in all a great holiday.

  Pleasant break with some much needed sunshine before winter

  First time to SkiathosHotel is short ride from airport Pleasant enough - just a short walk from beach across a fairly busy road at times.Hotel is friendly and does what it says - nice pool with B&B facilities Breakfast was good simple food bread and Jam with a few hotel dishes and coffee machine - no complaintsWe visited final week of season Pool areas was busy and beaches often crowded Oddly and goes against our ethos - we found ourselves getting up to secure pool bed - we are up for runs so we didn’t need to break the early rise routine, didn’t secure a pool bed first morning, second day we felt if you don’t then your sitting on the floor..Local area has a splattering of tavernas not many and various you had to rebook such was supply and demand, heaven only knows what it’s like July and August All taverna served same food same menu with varying pricesYou need to explore and get bearing to find places to eat Skiathos and hotel was pleasant the sun shined and it was relaxing for a week Not somewhere we feel the need to go back to Skiathos town was very busy and everyshop sold same items …the town gets a lots publicity but to be honest it’s no different to any other Greek town imo

  There are some great things about this hotel, number one being its location, a few minutes walk to the great beach and right next to the bus stop. The bar and pool area is well appointed, although we didnt use the pool as Skiathos is about beaches. There are at least a dozen tavernas within a few minutes walk (all good) and a decent mini market by the bus stop. Some slight negatives. The breakfast is average at best, but you can eat on an open terrace which is a bonus. The rooms are small and the shower floods the whole bathroom. When we were there the hotel seemed to be occupied by couples and groups who come back to same hotel for the same weeks every year, which i found a bit odd, but suppose if you really like it why not? The island itself is great place for a chill out holiday. Troulos is very laid back but if you want something livelier the town is a short bus ride away and has something for everyone.

  Lovely hotel, great location next to the bus stop. Downside.. had to get up early to get a sun bed…and shower was far too small.Marcy the receptionist was super helpful and bubbly 😊Fab holiday
