  Fantastic Hotel

  Just returned from a weeks holiday at this great hotel, everything was perfect from start to finish. Our room was cleaned spotlessly every day to a very high standard with fresh towels every day, we upgraded before arrival the room was amazing so big and a very comfortable bed. After reading reviews before we came I didn’t know what to expect at breakfast but we found the breakfast to be perfect always something to eat and plenty of tea and coffee, choices changed most day, I don’t know what people expect these days ??All the staff were very friendly and hardworking a credit to the hotel, special mention to the young guy (never got his name) who was at breakfast and in the bar very hardworking and friendly.Great location in beautiful Skiathos handy for our favourite beach bar Baracoa and right near a bus stop to get into town, also a water taxi on the beach to get into town.Will definitely return to this great hotel.

  Great location, good value hotel

  Hotel rooms are clean and tidy with fresh bedding and towels every day, and a comfy bed and pillows with a balcony overlooking the sea. Bathroom was good, bath might need a little reinforcement as it’s a bit bouncy but clean!Breakfast included and was ok most of the time but could be sporadic as one person was trying to deal with clearing, cleaning and replenishing food for a full hotel. Good selection when it was there and he did a great job. Pool area was clean but the pool itself was off putting as it was a bit green and very slippery. One chap did come and clean it every day but I guess a build up of sun cream and no rain didn’t help. Only disappointment was that the bar by the pool only took card payments so unless you have a prepaid card, you’ll need to pay bank charges every time. A good location, with a mini market virtually next door and as beach club 2 minute walk away with water sports and a fabulous taverna! We’re sure it will be painted and repaired over the winter and is a good value hotel.   Fantastic stay, few tweaks and it would of been perfect

  We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Skiathos at the Kanapista Mare hotel, the location was wonderful, on bus stop 12 which is practically half way from Skiathos town and half way to Koukounaries beach, the hotel itself is 2 minute walk from the bus stop and 3 minutes walk to the water taxi via the fabulous Baracoa beach club and restaurant which was one of the best in our opinion, also a stone’s throw away from the fabulous Johnnys restaurant which is a must! We had a room on the top floor which takes 2 lifts, very easy to use and very reliable, rooms were clean and tidy, housekeeping came daily and clean sheets and towels practically daily, the view from our room was STUNNING and I’m already missing waking up to it! All the staff were friendly and helpful from reception to housekeeping to bar staff, all fab, we had a bed and breakfast stay and the breakfast was probably the only little issue, don’t get me wrong there was plenty of food and lots of choice from white and brown bread with the usual toaster they use in hotels, cereals ham and cheese fruits and yogurt tomatoes cucumbers bread sticks jams etc, and then the hot food, I say hot but reality was Luke warm, I’m plant based so my go to on holiday breakfast is usually mushrooms and beans on toast with a baked tomato however it was a choice for me to have mushrooms (Luke warm OR beans, again Luke warm) never both together, so one day beans were available next day mushrooms and never baked tomatoes, not the end of the world, there were fried eggs and scrambled eggs, sausages bacon and hot savoury pastries to choose from also, and the only other thing was that there was no dairy free milk alternative, I did ask the first few days and was told they didn’t have any but thought they meant that day, on asking again I was told that they didn’t do dairy free options so I ended up going to the very handy supermarket which is practically next door to the hotel and took my own milk to breakfast every day. They could maybe have one more person helping in the morning as the poor guy was rushed off his feet! Clearing tables and setting them up for more people as well as replenishing the breakfast stuff so someone else helping would of been better, however all in all it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel, a few little tweaks and it would of been perfect ??   Top Hotel. Very Clean. AWESOME views. AWESOME staff.

  The Plus1. The best views of any hotel in the area. Every room a sea room (we changed rooms 3 times as we turned up without pre booking in August).2. A squeaky clean hotel. From pillows, to pillow cases and towels. 3. The staff deserve an outstanding mention. Irene was the star of the show. She fixed everything for us, with a smile and her natural alactrity. But it is a team effort and thanks also go to Sophiana, Thanasis, Maka and the rest of the team, George, Maria, and Stavros!2. Many rooms have been refurbished to a very high standard. That said we loved room 302, for the bright airy sea view high up. Morning sunshine is a joy!4. Central location. 10 mins to Skiathos Town, and 10 mins to many beautiful beaches.5. Solid Wifi, even the hotel was totally full. There was not one place we could not get signal. 6. Air-conditioning was powerful and in every room.The Minus1. Poolside music was "drum and base" and put us off staying too long/ close to it. (and at times tuneless elevator music). Totally out of character for a relaxing Greek holiday. No one wants to hear a deep base thumping all day long, even though the tempo was slow. Silence would be manifestly preferred between the two. Come on, play some authentic Greek music and leave the "clubby" poolside stuff to the beach-goers. Last, you may wish to consider the average age of your guests at the poolside. We saw the 50 years olds, +/- 10 years, and families with young children - not the 18-40 crowd. 2. Food menu could be spruced up for an evening meal as the location and views are awesome. Overall comment:A hotel that we are returning to. Very kind staff, extremely clean linen and pillows, a full breakfast, and well located to explore the island (bus stop is only 90 second walk).
