I just came back from a trip around the region and I couldn't have chosen a better hotel. Everything was top notch, location was great and staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

    Good hotel in good location

    rating10 Sept 2019

This hotel is a few minutes walk from the bus station. It's an easy walk to the main beaches, and there are good shops and restaurants round the corner. The room, the breakfast and the service all perfectly satisfactory. Good value for money. But we didn't like Budva; no, it's not beautiful or relaxing. It's for partying. It's for people who are happy to be a couple of feet from their neighbour on the beach. As older folk, we will not be returning.

A city hotel at the sea for a shorter or longer stay

    rating29 Jul 2019

We chose the Blue Star Hotel in Budva for several reasons, mainly due to the location, how the rooms look like and other guest reviews. We had stayed for 3 days and we were going to visit, apart from Budva itself, also Kotor, Perast, Sv.Stefan and Herceg Novi. We did not rent a car, we used public bus. That is why it was very important for us that the Blue Star Hotel is about 200-300 m from the bus station. At the same time, the location at a smaller street means that the proximity of the station is not a problem at all. There are many grocery stores and restaurants around, which can positively surprise - we recommend the Kuzina restaurant. The beach can be reached in a leisurely 10-minute walk. From the outside the hotel is in a blue and white tone ( it is Blue Star anyway). The hotel lobby is not very large but comfortable and provides a nice coolness compared to the outside heat. From the lobby, you can go directly to the hotel's cafe (ground floor) or restaurant, located on the first floor. The hotel is not a typical holiday house with hundreds of guests. The hotel holds 30-40 rooms. The hotel has a nice, friendly atmosphere, supported by competent and ready to help reception staff. We slept in a standard twin room. The standard room is big and spacious, (about 25m2 including the bathroom), so apart from the beds, there was a table, two armchairs, a large desk with a minibar. And still the remaining space was quite sufficient. In addition, the rooms are quite high - about 3.5 m, which additionally makes the room spacious. The beds were comfortable, with a standard width of 90cm, but long at 2m or more. Bedding was nice to touch. The decor, just like the outside, was dominated by white and blue colors, complemented by light wood from which furniture was made. Fortunately, the room was air-conditioned, because it would be difficult to stand the heat outside + 35C. Despite the spacious room, the air conditioning was really efficient and quickly cooled the room to a low temperature. The bathroom was large, functionally furnished, decorated in light beige colors. Good quality towels were changed every day, as well as Italian cosmetics refilled every day.We received a set of fruit and snacks on arrival what was a very nice gesture. Breakfast was served from 07 to 10:00. The hotel offered a very large selection of hot and cold dishes, allowing you to compose a classic "dry" breakfast or a more southern set, for sweet (cakes, fruits). When something ran out, it was quickly replenished.Apart from standard rooms, executive rooms are also available. They differ from the standard even bigger space. If you have a wish, you can live in two-room apartments, some of which even have a balcony.Blue Star Hotel can be recommended to anyone, who travels around Montenegro or the Balkans, just like us, through small groups (business, sports, tourist) to even families with children - the beach is not really far away. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and comfortable. Service friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself well located, unless someone has to sleep in the first line shore. Then he can stay at another hotel from Stars Hotel Group network in Budva, Hotel Montenegro or 5 stars Splendid Hotel and Spa.

    5 Star for Blue Star!

    rating26 Jul 2019

Stayed with a mate for a week. Was a top stay! Nothing other than positive feedback for Hotel Blue Star. So many good things I can say about this place. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. We were made to feel so welcome from the minute we walked through the door. The team really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and offer all the help and advice you need for your stay in Budva. A nice touch on our first night was that they brought up a big bowl of fresh fruit.A special mention must go to Damian in reception who was a top man. One of the friendliest people I’ve met, and played a massive part of our trip. From restaurant recommendations, to football opinions, and also helping us arrange our trip to see “Rasta” at Top Hill, he was always there to help - Hvala Brta! The hotel itself is in a great location. 5 min from nearest beach, 10 min walk away from Old Town. Cash point in hotel. There’s a supermarket just outside the hotel which has anything you need, and proper friendly staff. Perk of staying at Blue Star is that you have free access to the private beach at Hotel Montenegro - an easy 25 min walk away but there’s also a bus - which has deck chairs and a beach bar. Just ask reception for a pass. Room was comfy, clean and just what we needed. Cleaners did a great job, especially Shisha (Damian’s sister). Air con decent. For anyone wondering about Budva, it’s beautiful and relaxing, but also has a good bar scene. Would recommend doing the Boka Bay boat trip, a night at Top Hill and also a day at Ploce Beach. All in all a quality trip. I’d recommend Hotel Blue Star and Budva to anyone. Will definitely be returning one day and won’t hesitate to stay at Blue Star. Thank you for a great stay Damian and the team!

    Excellent experience

    rating28 May 2019

Smallish hotel at the center of Budva. Spotless, modern, with the best and friendliest reception staff i have ever encountered. Spacious, very clean rooms, well equipped and comfortable bathroom & shower. A good, diverse breakfast.Elevator very small, can squeeze in 2 small persons and 1 suitcase, just barely...Parking - on pavement of hotel entrance!! Really? It was funny but not practical, we didn't dare drive our car after arriving, afraid we won't have a place to park coming back...
