Great little budget hotel in the heart of Skiathos Town

I stopped here for 10 nights from 23/9/26. Chose here because it was affordable at £40 a night. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to return. The room was cleaned every day apart from Sunday and I feel the hotel did not have an issue with cleanliness! Ignore previous reviews. The breakfast was the same every day so I did choose to eat out some mornings but for the money I paid I would not expect anything other than I got. Run by a lovely lady who lost her husband some years ago and works very hard. Nothing was too much trouble. If you don't have a hairdryer or kettle in your room, ask for one; they will be provided. You may need ear plugs as with lot of properties abroad, there tends to be noise from people locking up their rooms or in the corridors. Never heard any other noise from other people's rooms and the hotel was busy. If you are looking for budget priced accommodation with a warm welcome, you will not be disappointed. All photos are accurate. Thank you ?? I hope you have a well earned rest when the season ends ??

I'm writing this review having read some recent damming reviews of this place which I feel don't provide the full picture. This is a basic, cheap hotel. I paid £45 for a night's stay. A stay at a Youth Hostel would cost more in the UK. I'm guessing the hotel was built in the 1970s. Nothing has been done to it since. The lady who owns it, who is exceptionally pleasant and kind, was widowed several years ago. I don't think she has the money to fund a renovation, or if she has, I doubt she has the energy to oversee the works. The hotel is was it is. The breakfast is fine. Brown bread, Greek yoghurt, oats, jam and honey. An egg if you want it. Proper coffee and juice. A healthy breakfast. There are plenty of places to buy breakfast if you want more.

OK, so I booked this knowing it was a Greek 1* accommodation, so had lower than usual expectations going in. Firstly, the owner is a delightful lady, so helpful, kind and always smiling, and was swift on my check in, as I'd encountered a flight delay. My room was 205, and yes it was basic in some respects, but it had a TV, a safe, an AC unit, mirror, chair and a basic bathroom which flooded upon using the shower, and the drain stank. The balcony was small. The walls seemed wafer thin and on the second night a rather abrupt and rude man 3 rooms from mine threatened to 'smash in' two women in the room next to mine if they didn't keep the noise down - they were talking, and not very loudly.Breakfast was extremely basic - two slices of bread with butter and jam, coffee, juice and one boiled egg nothing else. I had to go out for breakfast for two of the three mornings I was there as it wasn't enough. The room was cleaned, but not to a great standard, and only a sheet was available with no blanket provision, and the mattress for me was rock hard, although that might be fine for others. The location is the winner, but the whole place could do with an overhaul, even small things like making the courtyard tidier, and adding some brighter lights into the sort of lounge area.

Wonderful stay

Just returned from a wonderful stay. Yes, the hotel rooms are dated, but Demitri and her daughter make up for that with their wonderful hospitality, lovely breakfast in the little court yard, great position tucked away in a side street handy for the port, bus stop and the main street, very quiet, if you want 5 star pay 5 star prices, for a budget hotel i could not complain.
