Location

This hotel is set amongst olive and pine trees, only about 70 m from the beach of Kanapitsa Bay and some 400 m from Tzaneria Beach, where there are watersports and a diving school. Kanapitsa Beach is one of the most beautiful and clean beaches on Skiathos. The local bus stop is about 700 m away on the main road with good and frequent connections to Skiathos Town (5 km) and Koukounaries. Boat taxis run from the beach to Skiathos Town several times daily.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 80 non-smoking rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym, table tennis and billiards. Guests of the hotel can pamper themselves with spa treatments and facilities in the wellness area. Services include a spa and a sauna or, for a fee, massage treatments.

    Great room, Rooftop Seaview jacuzzi

    I would like to start with great surprise straight on arrival. We get upgrade our room to rooftop Seaview jacuzzi room. Great spaces big room with beautiful view. Great location just 2min from the Kanapitsa beach with great restaurant. From the beach you can reach old port by ferry, just 5eur ride. The pool is the highlight of the hotel. I spend all afternoon there, you get full service with drinks, snacks straight to your sunbed. Very convenient and comfortable. The staff was very polite, professional and smiling all the time. We like the stay very much, highly recommend.     A wonderful stay at Radisson Plaza our third visit and still perfect.

    We stayed at the Radisson Plaza Kanapitsa from 31st August to 12th September 2025, and honestly, I feel some of the recent reviews are really unfair. This is our third time staying here. The first time was when it was still a more traditional Greek hotel, but since becoming Radisson the improvements have been incredible.First of all this is Greece, not the Seychelles (though I’d argue some of the beaches here could rival them!). The hotel itself is clean, bright and welcoming. The pool area is lovely and we never had to fight for a sunbed. Just a short three minute stroll takes you down to Kanapitsa Beach, where you’ll find a great little taverna, water taxi into Skiathos Town, and a fantastic watersports company offering boat hire and beach trips. It may not be the prettiest beach on the island, but the water is clear and perfect for a morning swim.Breakfast was more than enough with lots of choice. Fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, muesli, eggs, pastries, breads and biscuits. It’s not alacarte, but it’s plentiful and very Greek. Drinks are served throughout the day and evening at the bar. Yes, hotel prices, but the cocktails were great and the staff even better. Maria and Demi are exceptional, and over the last two visits they’ve become friends.Reception were also really helpful. Anna went out of her way to recommend a beautiful restaurant for our last night which we loved. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Our lovely cleaner, originally from Ukraine, was always smiling and made us feel so welcome every day.We ate in the hotel one evening and had an amazing pasta dish. Yes, a little pricier, but that’s what you expect in a hotel. We also rented quad bikes through reception and explored some incredible places around the island, including the Skiathos Dog Shelter and the monastery.For us, this hotel is a brilliant base to explore Skiathos. The staff truly make the difference, they work so hard and always with a smile.     Good hotel and near the beach

    Staff are lovely. Hotel is very clean. Beds needed improving as they creak all the time. Only have B and B unless the dinners are improved. Or unless you like chips every day even with the A la carte menu. It is more like a three star hotel than a four star.     Staff was very nice and took care of us. Location was beautiful but a little remote if you don’t rent a car/scooter which we did so it was no issue for us. Bus stop is a 15 min walk.     Expensive, badly run, no staff, hard beds

    Expensive hotel, poorly managed, hardly any staff, no air con. It looks great on the photos; modern, simple design but nothing works properly. Beds hard, plumbing noises throughout the night, next to a beach that would have been beautiful at one point but now overrun by tourism. Don’t recommend at all. Won’t be coming back.
