  Perfect spot for exploring Skiathos

  Perfect location for our short stay in Skiathos. Located near the main bus stop and minutes away from Skiathos town. We used our room only as a base and spent most of our time exploring the gorgeous area. We stayed in room 1; it was very large and exceeded our expectations. The balcony extended out from the living area and across the bedroom, so there was a lovely place to sit & admire the stunning views on offer. We loved watching the planes coming in to land; if you get a chance, visit the plane viewing area as this is an experience you will always remember. The local buses are very easy to navigate and run very frequently. We also used the water taxi, which again is a great way to see the island.   Brilliant last minute trip

  I was a little concerned having booked our stay in a two bedroom apartment very last minute and proceeded to read the reviews. However, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Greeted by the lady who gave us cold water and biscuits, much needed after trying to work out where the parking was (safe and secure and close by) and climbing the stairs...there are a few!The room was huge and no there wasn't much cutlery and plates but I asked for more and instantly received more chopping knifes, tea towel etc. We have managed to fully self cater alongside breakfast and it's certainly better than a Eurocamp kitchen etc which is what we are used to. I have a bad back and there were more pillows for the bed that I had asked for ready and waiting. It was spotlessly clean, despite the bathrooms being a little dated and there were mini toiletries in both bathrooms...again didn't expect two bathrooms. The Aircon is amazing and never turns off/resets which is a godsend when it's so hot. The beds are comfortable and singles are full size. Two balconies as well.Yes things are a little dates i.e. one bathroom has no proper shower door but honestly it was fine, we just used the other one! Towels and beach towels provided.The service is second to none and our flight isn't until 9pm tomorrow evening but they have already said we can stay in our room until 12pm and they will give us a smaller room until we leave - unheard of in most large chains etc.We have had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend it. The pool was also a huge hit with our two children. Yes again, a little rough around the edges but the pool itself is clean and well maintained and just lie on a pool towel if the lounger is a little stained, no issues. There is even a shower at the pool side.Brilliant stay, we would absolutely come back, thank you.   Situated at the top end of town, near bus stop 0, Skiathos living is a short bus or taxi trip or even walk away from the airport and a very easy quick walk into Skiathos town centre. We were asked by the staff beforehand if we would like help carrying bags and to let them know so they can meet us at the street as there are many steps to the property, but we managed ourselves. Upon first arrival we were greeted with fresh orange juice and biscuits then helped to our room and shown where the pool is.The pool isn’t huge but quite and with plenty of sun beds, with a gorgeous view.The room was spacious with a separate area for the children to sleep in. Beds were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was functional, though we didn’t really use it. Bathroom was ok, shower could do with updating but it was fine. The view from our balcony was beautiful, overlooking the port and great for watching planes come in.We had a delicious breakfast delivered to us between 8:30 and 9:00 every morning, and consisted of a big variety of foods, breads, jam/spreads, pastries, cereals, eggs, fruit, coffee and orange juice. We had a boat trip booked one morning which meant we would have missed breakfast, but we spoke to the staff the evening before and they made sure we got breakfast before the trip.Only real downfall, besides the bathroom, was the steps to the property, but staff were willing to help with bags as and when needed and inside the building was a lift.Cannot fault the staffs friendliness, helpfulness and humour at all!   Lovely stay, but needs an update

  We have just got back from a lovely holiday in Skiathos as a family of 4 (2 - 9 year olds). The location is great, its a short taxi or bus from the airport and a 10/15minute stroll into Skiathos. The views are superb you get great views of the port and town, its great being able to see planes land from the sun bed at the pool. There are a lot of steps to the hotel - which the other reviews have mentioned, they were manageable even with children and on Check-In and Check-out someone from the hotel carried our bags which was really appreciated. The pool was great there was plenty of sun bed availability and our children loved the pool, the all day sun and views were great for adults.The room was a really good size for a family of 4, they were clean and had great views over Skiathos. However, they are quite tired and could do with upgrading and renovating - especially the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable, great controllable air conditioning included which meant we all slept great. Continental breakfast was brought to the room daily, which varied slightly day-to-day but mostly consisted of croissants, cereal, boiled eggs and bread. It was fairly standard but enough for us and can request when you'd like it. Overall we'd come back because the location and facilities were good, just hopefully they update the rooms a little.
