    Happened upon this hidden gem

    rating19 May 2026

Firstly it's important to say that we didn't stay here but had hired a car to explore the area and happened upon this beautiful place. We stopped off for a coffee and were made really welcome by an elderly gentleman Giovanni, who made us a lovely coffee, served with little cakes. The tables were underneath an avocado vine. I started to look around and was totally intrigued by the peace and beauty. I saw, lemon and orange trees in abundance, lush greenery. After my coffee I had a little wander over to the newly painted pool area decked with really good quality sunbeds surrounded by this unreal beauty. The elderly gentleman was joined by his son Pasquale, who explained that the complex wasn't open yet but would we like to see the newly appointed and refurbished apartments. We have been to Greece and the Greek Islands many time so know how basic the accommodation is but I was truly impressed by the standard, new beds and mattresses and the bathrooms were really impressive, not the plastic shower screens that stick to you body but well appointed glass screens. I agree that the apartments may be a little isolated but the beach is only a few minutes walk away and is stunning with crystal waters. The bus does run every half hour throughout the season and last bus is approx 11. 30, so don't be put off. The bar is well stocked and there seems there may be a very good atmosphere, with a romantic slant, with small lamps on tables, a truly Greek experience. Thank you for making us very welcome 🙏

Not the best, wouldn't stay again!

I've really struggled with this review, hence why it's taken me so long to write it. It was borderline two or three stars. The first room we were given was a family room and was recently refurbished but not finished. It had cold concrete floors and we really couldn't have spent ten days there. We asked for a new room and were given another room with two single beds pushed together, which was ok but the beds were quite uncomfortable. It had a small kitchenette and a balcony. The shower was not fixed but hand held. The restaurant and bar are very picturesqe but they have no menu and you have to have what is on offer that night and if you go down after eight pm there's not a lot left. The two meals we had were delicious but quite expensive. The owner pascal did give me a lift to the supermarket about two miles away on the first day and told me that I'm the first person to complain about a room. The hotel is very small but very rustic and the pool is ok and we only used it once. WiFi is really hit and miss. It really is so far out that you really need transport. In September the bus service is significantly reduced and it's about two miles from Troulos. It's a ten minute walk to Asselinos beach which is good ( with a nice taverna) and an hours walk to Troulos. With the two, (how shall we say) amorous dogs while we're eating was not very appetising. I will say that the area and views are stunning but I would never stay there again!!

    Not the best experience sadly🥲

    rating30 Sept 2025

Beautiful location good shower hot water.Asked for kettle 3 times eventually got it .Kitchen tap not working.needs a good and thorough clean.Sometimes felt like I was a nuisance asking for yoghurt. No price list for food I need to know what I'm paying.Towards end of holiday it became more friendly with manager giving me a lift to town.I understand it was only 2star but I paid twelve hundred pounds for this TUI holiday and fell below my expectations.im sorry they were hit by the dreadful storms 3years ago. But I felt a coldness about this place unlike the normal upbeat and super friendly vibes I felt on my last 2trips to Skiathos. But the family dogs were adorable.💜

Lovely rustic hotel, run by an extremely hard working Greek family.

    rating21 Sept 2025

A rustic 2 star, family run hotel in a quiet and beautiful corner of Skiathos, near a beach and surrounded by tree lined hills, donkeys, chickens and family dogs.Pasquale is an extremely hard working host, supported by his elderly Father who lovingly prepares the traditional Greek breakfasts, lunch and dinners. The Tui allocated rooms are more than adequate and of a good size. For an authentic rustic Greek experience you will not be disappointed. But remember it is 2 star, so set expectations accordingly. We did and had a fabulous time.

    Very disappointed!

    rating19 Sept 2025

We have just returned from villa angela. The good points - owners are very nice, there is a beach very close and the setting of the bar and restaurant is lovely. However, you are very far from anywhere and will need a car. ( Which we do anyway)I realise its nearly the end of the season, but the rooms are very tired, we had no bedsheets changed in the 10 days we were there(even after asking) we knew because i spilt suncream on the sheet and it was still there day 10! The cleaners just folded the sheets on top of the bed every day! Ths bottem sheet had seen better days and was very bobbly!, The pillows were very stained⁰, so did not use! Under the bed was dusty and full of fluff. The towels were only changed on day 7 after telling them neither bed or towels had been changed. Very poor supply of utensils and if you want to cook, there is an old 2 ring plate on top of units. Outside is a bowel to catch drips from air con...that we had to empty every day! Whilst the room was very spacious - the whole - it was poorAll in all, we would never go back here.Travelled lots in Greece and know it can be basic, but this was hugely disappointing. We dont like to be negative or complain and indeed this is our first review, but this was of a poor standard. We heard the food was lovely, but the cleanliness of the place put us off and we never ate there. However, we had a great time in our jeep, touring the island and skiathos is beautiful.
