  Booked through Jet2, nothing special really but nothing to complain about. Location is very handing for the metro and the main street across Thessaloniki. Eva in the spa was fantastic, as was access to the sauna in our busy week. Breakfast included a wide range of things but the coffee machine was slow and didn’t produce the best results - stick to the filter coffee.   Uncleanliness of room and bad location

  Anatolia Hotel was rated at 8.4 by Booking.com. That rating should have been a much lower rating! We had paid for a four night stay. On the night of check-in they did not have our room available so put us in a suite which was nice. They told us the next day they would move our suitcases to a triple room for the rest of our stay. When we arrived from a full day tour we went to our assigned room. What we found was a carpet full of dirty spots, torn in one place and a couch with a huge stain on it. I asked to be changed to a cleaner room but they said that they were fully booked and could not accommodate our request. Because we had already paid in full for our 4 nights we had to stay in this dirty carpeted room. Otherwise we would have found another hotel.Also the location of the hotel is in a rundown part of town. This hotel should not be rated a 4 star hotel. We were very disappointed with our stay and would never recommend this hotel!   Extremely Misleading Listing – Nothing Like the Photos

  This was by far the most disappointing hotel experience we had during our trip around Greece.The room we were given (Room 204) looked nothing like the rooms advertised online. The hotel displays renovated, modern rooms on Booking.com, but some rooms have clearly not been renovated at all, and photos of these outdated rooms do not appear anywhere in the listing. Had we known what the room actually looked like, we would never have booked this property.When we raised the issue with the hotel, we were told that the renovated rooms were unavailable because the hotel was full. In other words, the room we booked based on the advertised photos was simply not available to us.This is not a matter of a room being slightly different from the pictures. The difference was dramatic. The room we received was old, worn out, and far below the standard we expected from the property’s online presentation.The staff we spoke with were polite and tried to help, and our frustration was never directed at them. The problem lies with the management and the misleading way the property is marketed.We have traveled extensively throughout Greece and have never encountered such a large gap between the advertised accommodation and the room actually provided.   The great quality of every single inch of this building is only surpassed by their staff. Their attention to the detail, their absolute dedication to make you feel welcome, appreciate and that you are in the best hands.
