  The great quality of every single inch of this building is only surpassed by their staff. Their attention to the detail, their absolute dedication to make you feel welcome, appreciate and that you are in the best hands. Since the first step into the hotel to the last before you leaving, their warm and sincere smiles will make you feel at home, surrounded by people that really care about you, no matter what you need. Greeks are easily the kindest and nicest people you'll find no matter how many countries you've been, and the Anatolia's staff reinforce that to a point that no matter how long you stay here, you just want to come back.

  We have chosen this hotel from the internet and we are very happy from the hotel and the staff. Staff is smiling and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable. Air conditioning and bathroom are all very good. Breakfast is quite good. We enjoyed from 2 nights stay. You can also access to many restaurants, taverns, and other places by walking. We will stay again in future.

  We booked the hotel to spend some time with my spouse right after New Year 2024/2025. As we arrived, we were a little dissapointed of the location of the hotel on a busy boulevard, that led into the city, far away from the centre and the walking streets, and all the trash on the streets around it, but we thought that was our obligation to inform ourselves of the location of the properety.We were in good spirits and thought that nothing will ruin our stay in Thessaloniki, as we have been there many times before, and as long as the hotel is clean, there is nothing more to ask. Oh how wrong were we. The reception of the hotel gives out a vibe of a 80's hotel, never updated, and there is a heavy smell in the air like you're in a closed pool area.The receptionist (who was very polite by the way) took us to our room on the first floor, as we were with a small dog, and that was the only pet friendly floor with no carpets (understandable).When we entered the room we noticed the same humid smell mixed with a smell from a toilet (the smell was inside the room and not so much in the bathroom?!), and we got worried how we are going to spend the night without getting sick. On top of that when we took off our shoes we found out the floor is 0 degrees ! It was cold as ice, although the AC was running on hot. Apparently the room is over a non heated space with poor insulation.I went down to speak with the receptionist, and patiently waited for all the guests to leave the area so I won't cause any trouble. I just wanted to sort out the issues and continue with our vacation. The receptionist told us that the floors are cold because there was no carpet, and offered to change our room with a carpeted one. Once we got into the new room I was in shock when I saw the state of the carpet - there were oily, and greasy, and dry, and all colored stains all over the room, and the same heavy humid/WC smell inside.When I asked the receptionist if he can sense the smell, he sait "Yes, It's probably the AC, it is like that troughout the entire hotel".All of this made spending the night in the hotel impossible, so we contacted BOOKING for advice, and they told us that we need to change hotels, and that they will sort out the issue with the hotel. I told everyone involved, that as a guest I have obligations, and I'm willing to accept to be charged for the first night (that we never used) but to be refunded for the rest of the stay.We asked to speak with a manager or another person who has the authority to take adequate reactions, such did not appear.The staff was polite and explained that they are aware of all the issues, but they don't have the authority to make decisions like refunding money, but also told us it should not be a problem to recieve at least partial refund, for something we didn't use.3 days after our encounter with the hotel, we received a letter from a lady in their reservations department, that rudely said "nothing you say was confirmed, no money will be refunded" and then ghosted us. Like our hobby is to pay for a hotel, stay 1 hour in it, and then in the last minute go search for another one and pay double for our vacation. And because they say nothing is confirmed I'm posting a picture of the carpet in the hallway where it was way cleaner than the room . You'll be the judge of weather it's confirmed or not ! I repeat - NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL. You'll regret it 100%!   Lovely place to stay, big comfortable room, excellent breakfast. This is a very welcoming hotel where the staff are super helpful and friendly. It is well positioned near the CBD and close to the Railway/Bus station. Several excellent restaurants and a big supermarket close by.
